Just a reminder to everyone, this particular formula IS the intended interpretation. 8+ (( (Def - Atk) /Atk) ×5) = the minimum roll needed in order to win. 7+ (( (Def - Atk) /Atk) x5) = number that the attacker needs to beat. While Frederick the Great was just doing the same thing as António Salazar, and it wouldn't be fair for me to impose the regulations on him but letting the other guy get away with it. The new formula WILL be enforced in 1492, period. The remainder of 1491 is still in the grace period of misusing the formula for those who haven't posted their 1491 turns.

yeah, I just edit the post I had made (well in "1941" I made new posts for purposes of reply and modernization) and press enter after the dice already measured (which is still shown blank in editing) if you accidentally touched/destroyed the previous dice perhaps you could click on a link to for example the homepage, and it would allow you to try editing again when you return?
How many more people to go for 1491?

How many more people to go for 1491? want to know how many left for 1490? Go to the search box in this thread, type 1490 and thank me later (it actually works).

Napoleon Bonaparte , We did 1490, we are presently in 1491. As for your suggestion, the problem is: not all players do post years nor their nationality in each phase. As to who is left: We have a post from those already... Napoleon Bonaparte , Laurent de Gouvion , best75 , Frederick the Great , Imperial RomeBall , António Salazar , Farmer Doggo . That leaves Quintus Fabius and Franz von Hipper . I think Doge of Genoa has gone AWOL from the forum... :/ Jean-Luc Picard , Would you mind doing the 5 actions for Genoa just for 1491? (Be advised that Saluzzo is already taken by France, Corsica taken by Sicily).

I thought they couldn't attack a player for another few years or are these neutral provinces?

Why is Corsica and Saluzzo taken? I thought they couldn't attack a player for another few years or are these neutral provinces? Neutrals but they're close to Genoa, so it was possible for Picard to accidentally attack them while they're already in other player's hands.

Someone asked... my answer is:
1 action equals 1 army produced, then place it somewhere you own a city at. (no stacking limit, but the expenses certainly is a limiting factor).
Wanted to made sure it's clear. Also... I've added it in the Combat & Units section for reference.

I'll do my turns; (it seems that I might have time after all to dippy as well! but that's for another thread...) Avstriya 1491. AEIOU? Ja. 4 ducats (Oh Emperor, can you the spare more? Nein? You're focusing on killing Friesland because he invaded Gelre? With Spain, England and the Burgundians as well? You sure? Fine.) Research Theory of Wealth (7/8)

You do have the opportunity to finish up with the rest of your actions today before I post the ending of 1491 and the beginning of 1492 tonight.
Happy thanksgiving to you guys from your GM!

Events for 1492 AD (No plague event - still within the first 3 years of the TW)
Quest for The New World The Genoese navigator Christopher Columbus sails with three ships from Palos de la Frontera in the service of the Crown of Castile on his first voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, intending to reach Asia. No present effect on any player
Witch Trials People in various provinces all over Europe suffering from famine, disease and unfortunate events claim that sorcery and witchcraft are behind their misery. Women, children and men have been accused of being witches, of worshipping the Devil and being a threat to Christendom. It has gone so far that people have lynched alleged witches without a proper trial! The Pope has issued a warning to the Catholics to not be so hasty in finding blame in potentially innocent parties. The people however has insisted for a straight answer one way or another. Effect on the Papal States - The Prince of the Papal States must decide to permit people to search and investigate for witches high and low, everywhere, or to deny them the chance to venture for themselves whether if witchcraft and sorcery is at play or not.
If pick to permit: All of his peasant militias becomes preoccupied with the search for people who might be guilty of witchcraft, reducing their BP strengths down to half (1 BP each now) OR If pick to deny: The people of minor cities becomes angry and furious with the apparent alliance between the Prince and the devil while the major cities scoff at the idea, 2 peasant rebels rises up in each minor citiy within the Papal States (Romagna, Urbino, Spoleto, Tivoli, Patrimony, totaling ten peasant rebels in five minor cities). The armies ruled by the Prince of the Papal States also are pushed out of those minor cities by the uprisings.
The Meteorite of Ensisheim On November 7, 1492, a meteorite weighing 127 kilograms fell in a field outside the town of Ensisheim in Alsace, Further Austria. When villagers tried to remove parts of the meteorite, a local magistrate interfered in order to preserve it for Maximilian, the future Emperor. He declared it to be a wonder of God, and after removing two small pieces for himself and Archduke Sigismund of Austria, he returned the meteorite to the city to be preserved in the parish church. Effect on the Hapsburgs - The Duke of Styria receives a sum of 6 ducats from the proceeds of selling the small pieces from the incredible meteorite wonder.
Now you may post for the 1492 year.
