5. United States of America - USA supports a pile of territories, which reserve you a good ammount of resources and You're far away from the enemy, your sworn rival is Japan,so it's better to split armies, one to Europe, and ships to Asia. 4.Empire of Japan - Japan has got a good military and is almost ignored by every country, also,USSR is endangered by Japan as they leave their cities unprotected.Keep an eye out for USA navies, they put their noses where they shouldn't. 3.Spain - Spain's territory on both Europe and Africa reserves them good resources, also conquering Portugal is a good idea to ensure bigger resources. With Spain you can break into France not being endangered from the Maginot Line. 2.United Kingdom - UK is a good choice to finish the conquest. As they are able to send troops to Norway and France, defending their places etc... Also With the help of Egypt and France in Africa,You will be able to push the Spanish and Italians easily.Your colonies in Asia will protect the other countries from Empire of Japan. 1.Kingdom of Italy - Italy is not taken seriously by the main Allied Powers. So Italy will have time to show off what magnificent power it has.The Spanish will leave Europe untouched by Americans and Canadians. Here is a link in my guide on Italy : 1939 Italian Conquest
P.S : Psst, with good generals, you will be able to win as Italy under 65 turns if you follow this strategy !

I'd rather have USSR over USA and Germany over Italy (easier in both, and USSR is really fast). I'd say: 5. United Kingdom: Good spread around the map, but few good gens (I guess there's Mountbatten) 4. Germany: Great gens and easy domination of Europe, but frontal assault on the Soviet 3. USSR: Strong gens (Govorov!) in the west for a takeover of Europe. A bit weak in the orient, but your own Badoglio will do. 2. Spain: So easy you can autoplay it. 'nuff said. 1. Japan: Yamamoto and Nagano will dominate the Pacific, then Brisbane. Plenty of fodder for invading the US and going through the Soviet back door. Desophaeus extolled its merits in a thread I presently cannot recall

I'm going to do it in real order because it'll destroy my mind otherwise. 1.USA- Call me crazy, but I love using General @coolguy14 and destroying both Japan and Europe at the same time. Also it is my fastest conquest... 2.UK- One of my fastest conquests ever! I love the challenges of crossing the sea! 3.Germany- The sheer number or generals like Erich von Manstein makes this one a thriller! It also is extremely satisfying to destroy the small countries. And that's as far as my list goes.

Sorted by number of times I have played.
5. Japan. The best choice to clear first time to get pyramids. 4. Egypt. Nothing special, just 1 star country I have chosen to clear 1939. Requires a bit of strategy to clear in 65 turns when you don't have tech and gens. 3. USSR. Interesting for clearing conquest as fast as possible. 2. Finland. The best choice for autoplay when you have good gens and tech until you get level 80 (later there's no need for autoplay). 1. Spain. The best choice for automplay from the very beginning.

Desophaeus extolled its merits in a thread I presently cannot recall Intro: Why should I pick Japan 1939? It's in the easiest era: 1939, check. It's on the advantaged side for the particular conquest: Axis, check. It starts with a larger country: has 3 stars, check. It starts with tons of generals available to you regardless of how many you have in your HQ: check check. It has a great group of starting generals for both water and land: Yamamoto, Yashimta, others, check check check. It starts with a relatively isolated position not so surrounded by enemies: check. It does have access to a large area readily available for conquest: China and SE Asia (including Phillipines), check. It faces the weak side of USSR instead of the strong side: Far East not Moscow, check. Same idea with other global powers on the enemy side: UK & France, check check. It has to fight less powerful generals spawned from USA in comparison to Europe: check. It does have easy access to set aside an aircraft carrier specifically to eventually kill Blamey in Brisbane: CHECK! Read more: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/3907/guide-japan-1939

Technically, it does face Moscow. There is nothing stopping it from going straight for the Soviet Capital after all Kinda sad really. It don't matter what era, the Soviets just roll over in the east, even if they already own most of europe. (But what do I know, can't play, my tablet broke since you left) Great to have you back Desophaeus,

1. Spain- Easy enough that you can just autoplay 2. Germany- Pillages everyone at the start 3. Japan- Just like Spain, but doesn't give as much reward 4. Great Britain- you're everywhere and it is extremely fast if you are smart 5. Thailand- Once you defeat everyone around you, then just avalanche you're way to Europe.
