I have 1 general so far, and that is Hull (4* star infantry) Currently, I have 740 medals and I don't know what general to get next. If you have any suggestions or questions, please let me know and if you're referring to a general, do point out their purpose, thanks.

Suggestions to watch out for:
Dumouriez = cavalry general and cavalry trainer. Can be used in the field and then regrouped into other generals or to princesses to boost their cavalry-command abilities.
Kutaisov = artillery general, artillery trainer. Like Dumouriez except with a different specialty.
Together with your four-star infantry general, this will give you a good spread of capabilities for campaign missions. More experienced users tend to concentrate on cavalry and artillery, as artillery can shoot at inf & cav without being shot at, while cavalry have major movement advantages. This is vital when trying to finish conquest-mode games as quickly as possible and thereby get princesses (free generals).
Also look out for items to buy. "Snare drum" cancels out the effect of a general's failing health resulting in them dealing out less damage, but any general who has the "mass fire" skill doesn't need it. "War horse" eliminates movement penalties over rough ground (though not at land-water interfaces such as coastlines or rivers), and helps you get places fast. There is an art to switching them from general to general as required. In places like the Ottoman Empire and parts of the Italian peninsula, where there tend to be a lot of mountains, this can save a lot of time in getting about. Then there are various attack, defence and movement boosting items, only the most powerful of which seem to be worth the medals.

Got tired for the first time on WC3 So I thought: "Hey, why not try out EW4? " And here I am. If anyone still plays (hopefully), what is THE best General to get (or perhaps "princesses")? + strategies and best general formation of possible As always, thanks and I greatly appreciate the suggestions Currently have Hull and 740 medals, but I don't think Hull was a great choice. >_> (maybe wasted my medals)

In fact, he is the best inf in the lowest tier. However, inf gen always is the 3rd choice, after art and cav. So you can buy 1 of those in pathdoc guide. I will recommend Sulkowski too, cuz you have 740 and he is just 150+ more, but way stronger than Dumoriez. And they are all the best gens at your current level, since you can't have OP princess at the beginning and not an IAP player (if you are, feel free to look at the topic all general by Picard, he lists all pros and cons of each gen). Finally, though painfully, if I were you I may consider restart game to have a cav gen first (I even have Dobeln- best inf for non-IAP of the whole game but I still do that).

Sop is art-focus, Kate is naval but art potential too. So you will have 1 art 1 cav. Scharnhorst can easily get those two too, but he is more expensive and 2 arts isn't good as 1 cav 1 art.

Alright, got Sulkowski.
What to do next?
Get another General like Dobeln (for Inf) / Schanhirst for arty? Or perhaps another powerful gen,
Or should I obtain the "princesses"? And if so, how to get them and what to do with them?

And if so, how to get them and what to do with them? Get sophia with sul. After that, it depends on you are IAP player or not,4 slots or 6 slots+. If 6 slots+, takes Scharnhorst, he will be used for a long time and worth your medals. But if only 4 slots, should be Kutaisov or Scharnhorst (less prefer). Because your art will be gone when Isabella came. Then Scharnhorst is expensive to be in and out your slot for a short time. Finally, with Sul,Sop, Isabela use your 4th slots for trainers till you strong enough to get Lan. After that, regroup Sul to Lan, feel free to take Victoria or Golytsin (for campaign, Vic). That's for 4 slots. With 6slots+, just buy strong gens to get Isa/Lan/Vic

Play conquest, win it around 50 rounds in Europe and you get Sop. Kate is in US, she is even easier, 65 rounds. Sulkowski alone is enough. Just look at guide in this forum and you will be fine

What year for conquest for those princesses? Europe 1798? America 1775? Europe 1806? Europe 1809? America 1812? Or Europe 1815? Also, IYO, which one is more worth it? Dumoriez vs Sulkowski

Dumoriez vs Sulkowski 1798 Holy Roman Empire and 1775 United States. I personally prefer Sulkowski because I farm a lot, but Dumouriez will satisfy if you are confident(around 25 turns in 1775 US with high resource, 150k points(I don't remember the level, but the point beside them), mid-HRE campaign progress should be enough for Lan)

#IAPPlayersUnite Also I think of getting Golitsyn instead of Sulkowski. And replace Hull with Dobeln or Oudinot(if you have snare drum)
