#IAPPlayersUnite Also I think of getting Golitsyn instead of Sulkowski. And replace Hull with Dobeln or Oudinot(if you have snare drum) If IAP so why not Lannes or Suvorov

Got tired for the first time on WC3 So I thought: "Hey, why not try out EW4? " And here I am. If anyone still plays (hopefully), what is THE best General to get (or perhaps "princesses")? + strategies and best general formation of possible As always, thanks and I greatly appreciate the suggestions Currently have Hull and 740 medals, but I don't think Hull was a great choice. >_> (maybe wasted my medals) My personal favourite is Suvorov, who plays like a tank. Lannes and Washington are also good imo, but alot of people don't agree on Washington. Hull is a decent starting General, but I highly suggest that you regroup him into a better general once you have one.

That being said, A good part of it is the makeup of your generals. Do you want to be cavalry based, play more geurilla, rush through everything etc.

Suvorov can be OP, but Lannes is more versatile (geography and leadership are good for cav).

Golitsyn got me all the way to SNS, when I then regrouped him(for a trainer slot) only to get him again after training Victoria. He's really good, plus you don't have to train him.

As a beginner, do GB 1798, it got me Isabella after I got more campaign stars. For Kate, if you're looking for an easy one, do GB 1812. Really easy to get Kate on that one.

Suvorov can be OP, but Lannes is more versatile (geography and leadership are good for cav). If you have enough money, I believe Suvorov is better; versatility becomes more useless after enough slots.

Yes, but you do get Victoria for free, and geography basically is warhorse. In the end, it's just opinion and preference.

The actual best general in the game is Lan. Infantry is infinitely less useful than cavalry, and Lan is the best cavalry general.

Heh. More "who to buy" threads, while I'm just hanging out back here in old Asutria with Dobeln the carrier. Heh.

Congrats on getting Sophia, when it's all said and done, she will have been your MVP and first to 150/10. I'd consider the following two threads to be mandatory reading for all but the most casual player. european-war-4.boards.net/thread/2964/different-phases-game#ixzz4ULjr57Wueuropean-war-4.boards.net/thread/4518/4-generals-walkthrough#ixzz4UBL9emaEI personally went with six-slots and having finished the game (420/420 campaign stars/all princesses), I have my doubts whether most players can reach that mark with 4-generals. For example, I don't see how it's possible to 5-star the final battle with four-generals, but I'm not someone who plays S/L on campaigns, so maybe you could doing that. Given where you are in the game, I'd concur with the recommendation in the second thread that you should run for Isabela before Kate, because Isabela will prove 100x more valuable (Kate isn't really necessary until SNS). However, I can certainly understand the desire to switch things-up a little and play north american scenarios.

How to get Kate? And also, I hear peoples saying to get such princess, you'd need to conquer as France in 1798, does that mean you have to necessarily be France only to get those princesses? And also, is there a required amount of resources to get them from such conquests? Like 9999 gold, 9999 food, and 3200 iron? Please help, I'm really confused about this system

Kate from Any American conquest. Asian Princesses, Lan and Sakurako, from any conquest and choosing to March on Asia at end. There's a thread about it. european-war-4.boards.net/thread/20/where-princess-free-generals-updated

Until Isabela, resources don't matter one bit
