This is the same thing as Quintus Fabius 's "Geography Game," but instead of geographical areas, this game will be about Famous or Well-known people in military history or modern times. GAME RULES: -same concept with "The Geography Game;" next name starts with the letter of last name. For example: Rommel --> Lannes --> Sherman -absolutely NO discussion over politics or anything that offends others -keep it clean, even with jokes -first name of general is optional -repeats are OK, but try not to repeat -must be a REAL commander / general with historical accuracy -have fun

I'll Start: Heinz Guderian, a great German panzer commander in ww2 and one of my favorite generals. Chester W. Nimitz. The last Officer in US history to serve as a Fleet Admiral, He successfully led the Battle of Midway, which completely turned around the Pacific war. Also, as an expert on Submarines, he approved the creation of the First Nuclear Sub. The Nimitz Class Supercarriers, some of the largest warships in the world, are named after him.

junius, Chester Nimitz ends with a Z, not a G. I did say that first name is optional, but if you put a first name in the general, it still counts towards the general. For example, Rosenberg-->George Washington -->Novikov. Hopefully clarification helps. Vasilevsky, pretty good Russian general

Also the weakest WC3 IAP general IMO Aleksandr Mikhaylovich Vasilevsky, one of the best Infantry generals in WC3. During ww2 he was Chief of The general staff and deputy minister of defense, promoted in 1949. Other than organizing, he personally commanded the 3rd Belorussian front, and executed the soviet offensive in Manchuria, where he personally accepted Japan's surrender. guys, my keyboard is dying,, thats why I'm slow on this post.

Giovanni Andrea Doria, a Genoese admiral in the war between Ottoman Turkey and the holy league (Italians, Spanish, and Knightly orders)
He commanded the right wing at the decisive battle of Lepanto. At the cost of 7500 men and 17 ships, they injured or killed 20,000 Turks, sunk 50 ships, captured 157, and freed 12,000 slaves.
This was the first major defeat for the ottomans, with Doria previously losing while commanding an entire fleet at Djerba.
