Eisenhower
One of the best leaders in history, not just in fame but in what he did and how he did it. Ends up being the supreme commander in chief for the entire Allied military joint command, basically being the boss of the entire forces of one side in WW2. Of course, he was a president later too.

(David) Ochterlony, a slightly obscure EIC general who commanded the Ludhiana (frontier) garrison at the time of the Afghan ex-King Shah Shuja's request for asylum. This eventually set off the First Anglo-Afghan War 20 years later.

Gnaeus Octavius, a Roman Consul and prominent opponent of Gaius Marius Sherman! Vice Admiral of the White Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson of the Nile, Baron Nelson of the Nile, K.B, Duke of Bronte in the nobility of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Knight of the Grand Cross of the Order of St. Ferdinand and of Merit, and a Knight of the Ottoman Empire’s Order of the Crescent (Nelson). Perhaps the greatest Naval Commander in history.
