OK...I have fought paraspam in the past but it had never been THAT annoying... I am playing 1939 as Greece, and Japan just wont stop spamming these super annoying paratroopers. I have tried everything but it either doesnt work or is impossible to do (like taking out Japan quickly). Does anyone know what to do?

What I have done is send a constant stream of armored cars into the pack, attempting to keep triangular formations so that the enemy cannot flank easily. You may have to fall back for a turn or two or create hedgehog formations around key cities while the paraspam does what it does.
I had a similar issue invading Europe from Spain. I sat through three rounds of at least twenty paratroopers each turn.
If you can, wound them with armored cars, then clean up the mess with tanks.
While you are dealing with paraspam in one area, you can freely attack elsewhere.
After a few turns the enemy runs out of cash, and you can resume your offensive.

I tried what you said and it was fine but when I tried to flank them, they started paratrooping there too.Japan has conquered all of Asia and Australia so they seem to have and endless amount of money.

Yeah, I did the same versus Germany but, if you keep up the pressure, the enemy eventually runs low on funds. It's when you give the enemy time between attacks to build up a fortune that his spam becomes relentless.
Eventually you will have to just push through the spam. I realize that playing as Greece means a long slow start, but when an enemy has time to accomplish his early game goals, he becomes rich enough to spam air attacks later in game. If you can't make him burn up that wealth, he will be able to keep you eight hexes away from his air bases forever.

Eventually I managed to capture New Delhi (the airport where Japan spammed the paratroopers) by surrounding them through the Soviet Union and Mumbai, while Japan mainly focused on stopping my main army in Iran. They probably run out of funds because they were paratrooping in Australia too...

Well done. What was your most effective combination for dealing with the wall of troops?

I just sent some 10-20 motorized infantries paratroopers from my nearest airport to capture the nearest airport and than killed all paratroopers with fighters. This worked ok in later years, for 1939 I don't remember such problem, but this have to work too.

All you have to do is occupy as much land as you can and build land mines because paratroopers can't land over the mines. You can use motorized infantry to cover large area of land.

All you have to do is occupy as much land as you can and build land mines because paratroopers can't land over the mines. You can use motorized infantry to cover large area of land. That only works IF you have about every SINGLE hex within the range of the enemy's airport covered with landmines (think in terms of 25 to 45 hexes or even higher). Level 2 paratroopers AND level 4 paratroopers are immune to mines (taking only 10% damage instead of full). So if the enemy uses Assault or Commandos, and lands like 5 of them, they can just walk onto your mines and pop them up like balloons. It CAN work, but it's easier to just use a large group of MIs (like 6 to 8 if you want) to run up to that airport and take it down while it is still sending paratroopers. Once you have cut the city's hp down to zero and any defender down to zero as well, you can take the city and stop the enemy from using that airport. Once the airport is yours, put down an anti-air defense in there if there's none. Also in the next turn, make sure you can buy an armored car and don't move it out in the next turn. It gives the best HP to gold ratio and will endure some enemy bombings well at the same time. Then put another one once the old car is down to half hp, repeat much as necessary. Make sure you kill the remaining paratroopers within your newly captured airport but don't run down to zero gold, you still need 135 gold for an armored car when you need to replace your current AC in there. As for your horde of many MIs, move them to the next enemy airport or use your own airport to capture that next airport. Use this information to your benefit, Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb Also, I believe Max Otto von Stierlitz will agree to the principle of what I am saying here.

I personally found the best way to combat paraspam is to paraspam right back. Then again, they (Germany, Japan, PRC) all had lower level paratroopers than me. However, if you can paraspam them right back and keep up the pressure, you have a huge chance of beating them back.
