Well i only won this mission once and it was 5 stars. I have kate golytsin and sophia (best easy set of 3 gens imo)
Well i wasnt able to find a strategy because of lack of food.
So i got an idea i retreat everything to minsk/kiev and sent napoleon to poland and prussia to steal the food. Moral of the story. The ukranian gens are easier to kill and the guy on the north will rush prussia just torwards napoleon and will die by prussia. The other gen follows your army 😊

I pulled everything into Prussia and Poland and took their farms (the first time I tried it I ran out of food and plunged into confusion, so good thing I'd saved it a few turns before). Then I let the Prussians and Dombrowski especially take the hit while I re-formed, healed Napoleon in a stolen city, caught my breath and then plunged back into the fight. 6+ powder on 4* Sophia (heavy artillery, so she can fight back at close quarters), Maria on double MG with Ferguson rifle, and Dumouriez (5*) with 6+ cavalry pistol.
Only two stars but I might re-try it sometime with the "Hold Moscow" strategy. I had thought to put Napoleon in it because it will heal him faster (Level 7 city). Trouble is, it's on fire and I don't want to risk Napoleon dying.

Trouble is, it's on fire and I don't want to risk Napoleon dying. Moscow is good for income, but can be a great burden if you mismanage it. Out of 2 recent playthroughs, I find that you NEED to ensure Prussian success at Vilnius otherwise a weakened Blücher will entrench at the fields beside the factory. Even when they succeed, you have to take out Barclay yourself cuz Blücher is likely to run off & die elsewhere. DON'T confront Bagration, he's tough as nails & even Döbeln on the machine gun took heavy damage while ATTACKING FROM WITHIN KIEV. I find that if Bagration is left alone, Dombrowski will attack him instead of attacking into the French stronghold if Bagration dies. Also, the machine gun is a MUST in defending French HQ. I deployed by cav to defend Moscow. I find that at most you need a light inf to hold it. Use your nearby fort to blow away anyone in range ESPECIALLY Tsar Alexander. Upon arriving at French HQ, you MUST use the train available to quickly replenish HP, your positions ARE NOT enough. Like all my 3 attempts, to ensure more income & Prussian success (after knowing it is a MUST), I took Minsk with Eugene, the inf unit & Sophia on the pre-spawned Light arty. I also took the empty stables near French HQ for more income. Lures: You can lure Sacken away from Moscow by retreating by the river near Tver. Use the fort & the river to your advantage. In recent attempt 2, I sacrificed Davout to take Sacken down [not the best move but at least a gen on Elite Guards (3X Guards) died]. Moscow is bait for the nearby Russians, INCLUDING Tsar Alexander on a 2X Guards cav. Kaluga will ALWAYS attract Bennigsen, Wittgenstein & Kutuzov so I'd advise you to prepare to meet them here. Bagration should be a good lure for Polish forces with Dombrowski in the lead.

Could you please clarify the above sentences? Where is French HQ, and what is this "train" you speak of? French HQ is refering to the French "stronghold", in other words the Byelorussian territory France owns. When you tap on a unit with a trainable gen, you can see a button with a Bull'seye symbol. That is the training that I meant, using training will grant immediate field promotion which increase causes UNITS to lvl up. When lvl-ing up, you will regain lots of HP, so I urge you to use train whenever possible to lvl up UNITS to allow total HP to be regained.

OK, I get you. Yeah, I know what the training bullseye is, but your omission of the -ing at the end had me a bit confused.

I got 5* easily. This is how i did it.
You'll need to evacuate Moscow obviously,,no matter what anyone says its burning!
You should have Sofia(on cavlary this time) and Domouriez by now Fatima and maybe Kate. So after leaving Moscow post haste, you move Napoleon to Kaliga to heal training as well. Next if haveing Fatima, put her on the MG's there and move her back on a farm and upgrade that farm, you get xtra food that way, food is important in this camp. Later after food is more stable move Fatima back to Kaliga and upgrade that city. You should develop your farms and use your cav units. If you have Kate she's on artillery. Keep Napoleon safe (he is your bait)as he slowly heals near Kaliga, later using him to mop up weak units.
Make a grab at Tvek early as possible with Dumo and Ney to distact attention from Moscow. Later the retaking of Moscow wth this duo in the rear as the Russians move on to Kaliga is easy. Then let them come, destroy them,Kaliga(your base)will hold, with the help of Davout,Sofia and Kate. Dombrowski will take care of Bags.in the south.
Plenty of food,Fatimah generates gold then the rest is done.

So far this was the toughest campaign I have faced, even worse than 3 emperors. After 4 attempts trying different strategies, I nailed it in 15 turns earning 5 stars. Mind that I have a super roaster of generals, Snare drum and I used once the First Aid box to regenerate Lasalle.
Said that, I kept Moscow. Moscow gives you 63 coins per turn and the enemy armies of the north are not very strong except for Kutuzov who attacks around round 7. The key strategy in this campaign is to keep your troops together and wait. The 4 enemy generals in red circles, eventually will move toward you. If you spread thin, you are done as the enemy outnumbers you. Secondly, let Polish and Austria do a bit of dirty work in the south and move down only once they have weakened the enemy defenses. The other important strategy is to stabilize early your food input by building farms. Remember it's better to spend 2x40 on the same tile to go from burn grass to farm than to repair two burn grass tiles. Both activities cost 80, but building a farm yields 40 x turn, while two grass tiles 30 (15x2).
1. Keep Moscow. Place the line infantry unit. It should hold the city for 3 turns (and you cash 63x3). Once exhausted, place your second infantry unit that you start with. couple of extra turns. Send Napoleon to Kaluga to heal. If you lose Napoleon, game over. 2. If you have a cavalry general (i had Lasalle) equip the guard cavalry next to Moscow and together with Ney and Davout, first take out the Siege cannon then occupy Tver and destroy Sacken and the cavalry unit. 3. Return with Davout and Cavalry to Moscow to wipe out the 2 enemy artillery. 4. Then Alexander I starts playing and you destroy with Davout + cavalry (Ney is almost dead by now). Steal the 1 star stable to avoid further cavalry to approach 5. Form a heavy artillery unit in Trev (or in your factory near Smolensk). I equip it with my start arty general Davout (5 stars) and I go defending Moscow and kill Kutuzov. Eventually there are no more armies attacking and you can move down to Kaluga/Smolensk area the survivors, since the enemy keep attacking from both sides. Mind especially Wittgenstein and the nearby rocket unit. 6. Send your heavy cavalry and machine gun east of Kaluga to await enemy guard cavalry and rocket. you should be able to kill both (put your infantry general on the machine gun). This also slow down their advance. Build your second heavy artillery and help defending Kaluga. Use eventually a Line Infantry (cost 75 coins but has 80 vitality so it last longer; light infantry cost also 80 with 70 vitality and grenadier 75. net net line infantry is efficient at defending a city). 7. Blucher will eventually conquer Minsk. If you send your given general Eugene nearby, you should be able to steal it before Blucher conquers it. It s a 5star city, dont miss out 8. Barclay will eventually attack together with a heavy cavalry unit. They are quite weak. By now you should be able to form a guard cavalry formation with general (I have Dumoriez as 2nd cav general). Also use your given light artillery to weak the enemy machine gun which for misterious reasons remains still in suicide mode 9. Using the various tricks i listed in my guide, I finished the game in 15 turns.

If we compare our excellence in units (who is better against who) and add probable movements of the enemy + we use terrain to be faster than comp we can take them down one by one. Except very beginning where we need little luck with some skirmishes on NW from Moscow.

How can i do it with Frederick, Davidovich and sophia? Apart from Sophia, the other two are below average gens. You may want to consider regrouping them into Sophia for Rank & Nobility while getting better gens such as Dumouriez, Döbeln and Kutaisov. If you use them for trade, Arnold is better. Your gens are not good enough to carry you through this mission. You NEED firepower, which the 2 gens are not that good at providing.

I'M STILL STUCK AT THIS MISSION!I deleted my last game cuz of this annoying mission. Deleting the game does not help you win a mission Agreed. The only reason to delete the game is either you do not like it or you got a really sucky general.
