For me retreating from Moscow didn't work for me. I found that I just get wrecked every time I do that. So I brought all of my units to defend Moscow. It was crazy, but every general that came after me died. Then I reclaimed my southern cities. After that, send a small force to assist Blucher in killing the general over there, and a bigger force south to face Bagration and if you are lucky, Dombrowski from Poland might help you. I had Sophia as my only good general at the time so this should work.

If it doesnt, let me know and I will go back and replay to figure something out.

Worked for me, I kept Fatima in Moscow, killed all assaulting Russians and then rushed towards the last generals I needed to kill. Finished in 21 turns, if I'd finished 1 turn earlier would've gotten 5 stars.

Who had ***** on this mission without using plenty of generals?
IMO defending is one of the hardest thing to do in this game.
After getting expectable result I'll give some news here.

I remember doing this mission with Golitsyn and 3 star Sophia (or was it 5 star?). Dumoriez on beginning double guards. Fatimah is in Moscow for income. Or use her on farms if you lack food. Sophia and Kate at arty.

Depends on granny's terror 's Sophia. If she's already trained at artillery, no. If not, you have two Neys.

Really, this mission is just about stabilizing your food supply and econ. Only Kutuzov and Wittgenstein are a threat here, since others are not too powerful or too far (like Bagration).

Good thing he just stands there like a fool and eats cannonballs And Barclay is so much of a clown that even Blucher doesn't need much help to kill him
