Hi. Currently I have only 7 cities left on Empire map, but I am not able to finish them.
Cities: Los Angeles, Atlanta, Rio de Janeiro, Hulunbuir, Kathmandu, Volgograd, and Panama City.
Available generals lvl 60: Blucher (armor 5, rumor max), Saladin (logistics max), Nelson (comm max), Li Hongzhang (comm max, leadership max), Nobunaga (leader & spy max), Li Shimin (logistics 7), Alexander (spy max), Bismarck (rumor max).
For items, have Paladin set, Keel sword and boots, and Odin armor. The rest of items are purple.
Are these generals not enough? Do I really need full maxed Suleiman, Caesar, Attila for finishing the game?
Thanks

That should be sufficient team imo

Well, simply said it isn't. My army is more or less decimated every time. When I have luck and Bismarck's or Blücher's Rumor triggers more often, it seems I should be able to finish the game, but in this instance I always run out of time...

These are indeed some of the hardest cities. I hope my team of Washington Nobunaga Napoleon Attila Nelson Hongzang Richard and Yi Sun Sin will be enough(still aways to go.) Do you have all of the legendary sets? They could really help.

I have Attila for cavalry and he is amazing. I heard Caesar is alright but when Richard is max he is a strong contender for #1 infantry spot.( until lv6 he is weak so max out logistics.) If you do not have these generals do not get them, invest medals into current generals.

Try to use Jhansi instead of Alex. He is a good general but out of place imo in your team. Only 2500 (roughly) is needed to max her out.
Moreover rework your strategy on the battlefield. There are more than one way (usually) to win....

Hmm, if it is really just strategy problem, then I will have to find out...

Hmm, if it is really just strategy problem, then I will have to find out... One more arch Commander can boost fort destruction as well... Strategy is in fact the main issue. For example I had problems with Panama and was forced to solve them in a very unorthodox way. Only Volgogrand (at least it seems so) is textbook strategy example. Maybe Rio... Bur other cities have more than one solution imo

Btw, with 3 Commanders in the team Nobunaga's third (literally first) skill is also very useful in critical situations (I had lvl 8 and it was something around 3000 damage when all Commanders were triggered... With luck you can kill the most dangerous general with one shot without retaliation)...
And try to trigger all abilities only when it is neccessary in most crucail moments(preferably simultaneously). Timing is very important as well...

As I approach the end of this game - 2 campaigns left to finish (at 1*, still quite a few to get 3*) and 9 attack missions* - I'd been wondering if everyone finds themselves with the same ones left at the end? I understand Volgograd is the last one for most players (if not all) but what about the rest? I could imagine it might depend on one's lineup? *I have six of the OP's list plus Denver, Wuhan & New Orleans but I did manage to clear Kathmandu last night

On a positive side, some (even significantly different) variations in the team composition are possible to complete all of them...

I did have another couple of goes at Rio last night though and am still pretty far off finishing that one!

Yeah, Rio is a hard nut to crack as well, but difficult battles like Rio or Los Angeles are different in some respect from very difficult battles like Panama or Volgograd. Sooner or later it is possible to find the best plan for your team, and you simply follow it. But in Panama or Volgograd your plan is pretty obvious, but it doesn't help a bit. You can do excellent moves for 70-80 turns in Panama, but make a small mistake after that and you need to start all over again...

I confirm. Panama and Volgograd are the last cities I have to complete now and are the hardest. My last attempt in Panama ended in turn 80... In Volgograd I am not annihilated like before, but my current strategy would need at least 50 turns. I will have to improve it.
Unfortunately I haven't Wuhan, New Orleans and Denver. I suppose this is due to older version EW5 I have.
