My pathway: Vatutin - Yamashita - Konev - Guderian - Rommel - Kuznetsov (sold later) - Nimitz - Rokossovsky - Arnold - Dowding - Donitz - Leeb - Mannerheim (sold later) - Govorov
To answer the question, yes get Konev as your 3rd gen.

My generals are Guderian and Leeb.Should I get Konev next? Yup. Konev's a good choice. But since you already have an arty and tanks are the best in this game, I would go for Rommel but his mission is hard (Maybe get Messe for the time being to defeat Rommel 40%). My path way Messe -> Leeb -> Guderian -> Messe (cuz I sold him) -> Nimitz -> Konev -> Rommel -> Rokossovsky -> Arnold -> Donitz. My path is the same as yours except I got Kuznetsov after Guderian and I didn't sell Messe until I got Rommel. |

I have to think twice for Nimitz because I just 3 pacific massions left.

Well even if you are past Pacific missions having Nimitz is great for domination battles, conquests and some campaign missions (dont forget the masses of Hard mode missions left from 1939 and 1943  ) Nimitz, then Leeb/Arnold if you want an air support gen |

Donitz is expensive but worth hiring as your second naval general, so get him after your other generals are secured. You don't have to get Yamamoto, getting Arnold for both air and as a support is quite a good option too. |

I upgraded Guderian and Konev Rumor lv 3 and added some skill like plain fighting and explosives.
What should I aim for next?

I haven't passed the Nato and WTO last missions. That two mission allow only 5 general so buying Arnold won't help me.
I think instead of buying next general, I should upgraded my generals. Right?
I will buy Arnold after I finished that missions

I will buy Arnold after I finished that missions For the UN missions you'll need to upgrade your gens a lot so focus on upgrading instead of new gens. After that you should also start saving up for Donitz for UN5, Rokossovsky for firepower, and Arnold for support. For me personally, I don't use airforce that frequently so I got Arnold a while later. |
