I did it guys! I finally did it, after 10+ tries. I eventually gave up on the orthodox method since my tech wasn't maxed out and I didn't have Rommel. I sent Guderian alone to deal with the two generals attacking the nuke-producing city, and sent Konev, Vatutin, Nimitz, and Messe to the west. After dealing with those guys, I built two nukes, dealt with the cities in the east, and lured the general in the northwest out. Then I nuked and captured that city, and used my generals (all still alive) to steal Baghdad. I finished it one turn before the limit. Unfortunately that means I'll have to return to this mission at some time, but at this point I don't even care. Next few missions should be a breeze. I'm probably gonna uninstall the game for the third time in two years when I get to South American Offensive If I get to South American Offensive

So I went back yesterday and got two stars. There are two factors which greatly influence how easy or hard the mission will be:
1. If a terrorist general captures and sits in Baghdad, you're slightly screwed 2. If Yudintsev captures and sits in the Turkish city, you're big screwed
Edit: Not big screwed, but also slightly screwed

Actually, in yesterday's playthrough, a self-propelled Howitzer captured the city, so Yudintsev just sat outside it. I guess it doesn't matter too much, since he eventually joins the other generals at Baghdad.

If it's 2, spamming armoured cars may work, but 3 is too much for the poor fellas.

So essentially you have to count on a non-general sitting in Baghdad, and then taking it last so you won't lose it later on.

Him coming out fo the city to join the bad bois at Baghdad is not necessarily a good thing lol. You have to let him take your level one non-objective cities in order to beat this level.

I quit because... you can see why If a terrorist general holds Baghdad, just start over. You're not getting past him. The only way you can capture Baghdad without 3 super op generals is by parasniping it, which isn't happening with a 1200 hp general inside.
