Tsarstvo Bŭlgariya 1908-9
Military
Ferdinand I accepts the motion for the purchase of over one-hundred aerial crafts. The bombers would be essential for the protection and sovereignty of a free Bulgaria and with this deal, the Tsardom may retain its status as a free identity. With approval, Ferdinand I sends an emissary to settle the agreement once and for all.
Construction of airfields has been completed. One situated a kilometer from Varna, to scrutinize for any pirates, training, and regular patrolling; The other airfield is located two kilometers from Sofia, ensuring safety and protection from foreigners. The airfields would also be responsible for housing and training ballooners.
Additional thirty-thousand men of all ages are promptly drafted into service. Some, are as young as sixteen years of age, pouring into the armed forces in the hopes of protecting the Tsardom. In total, there are over two-hundred thousand men in the armed forces, each assigned to a corresponding army on the basis of age. Like the initial reformation, each army would be separated into four distinctive locations. Extensive fortifications have been proposed, and the construction of these fortifications will be initiated in the upcoming years. Political
Ambassadors have been sent to Hellas to discuss the aspect of an alliance. This motion is produced by Ferdinand I, as it is necessary to construct coalitions and agreements, to further protect the Tsardom's sovereignty.
.org/] [/url] Pictures: Onset; machine gunnery division for the first army is training a single kilometer from the Tsardom's capital, Sofia. These men are the first generation of the trade and the first line of defense from the Tsardom's opposition.

Die Osterreichische-Ungarische Monarchie, 1909
Following the high point of 1908, Austria-Hungary returns to a fairly normal public state.
Austria-Hungary annexes Bosnia-Herzegovina, a move intended for 1908, but postponed to deal with the new governance of Venetia, Lombardy, and Eastern Serbia. Occupied in 1878, the Bosnians will be granted their own regional government in 1909, Croatia will be removed from their joint governance with the Serbs, and the Serbs a single region.
Industrialization programs established several years ago are completed. Rolling for the results (the higher the better, lower the worse). I_kUpqlC
The programs leave more to be desired, but more factories are introduced to the agricultural east.
Aircraft testing resumes after postponement due to crises. Last tests took place in 1905, and as the quality of the plane was mediocre, at best, engineers are ordered to create a better design using previous knowledge. Rolling for results (higher the better, lower the worse).
Franz Joseph is extremely happy with the results of the plane. Rolling for flight tests.
The plane, while a marvel in design, fails the first test. A second test is launched.
The same results? Franz Joseph begins to lose his patience once again. A third, and final test for the year.
The pilots are imprisoned for a month, their incompetence being the only reasonable explanation for the failures. Testing is scheduled to resume in 1910.·········

IDie Osterreichische-Ungarische Monarchie, 1910
With the annexation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, which was Ottoman-controlled before it’s occupation by Austrian Infantry in 1878, is granted regional autonomy as any other region in Austria-Hungary. Rolling for the approval of the new government, which will now include Croatia. _kHS5sGc
The Bosnians and Croats have the highest approval rating in the Empire, and tensions are lowered.
Industrial Programs showed less than desired results last year, but industrialization in the East continues. Rolling for results (the higher, the better).
Industrialization has picked up since the last year, and Austro-Hungarian manufacturing sees a rise in productivity.
Aircraft testing is resumed, following a year of great design but more testing woes. The first test of the year begins.
The first test is successful, the aircraft surpassing 100 yards and landing safely. Combat and Manouvering testing begins, with observation balloons the intended targets. (Higher the better)
The craft underperforms in the testing, nearly having tangled itself in the cords holding the balloons in place. An Air-To-Ground test is launched, to judge the effectiveness against opposing infantry.
The aircraft proves superior as Close Air Support than a fighter. Not what the Emperor had in mind, but it flies, and it will help greatly in combat. The craft is named the “Luft zu Boden I,” or “LzB. I” for short. The first aircraft of Austria-Hungary, it is put into limited production of 300 aircraft.
50,000 Common Infantry with 1,000 Artillery pieces are deployed to Bosnia.
The Austro-Hungarian Navy, an afterthought considering the limitations of the Adriatic, places 10 Huszár-class Destroyers into production, to be completed between 1911 and 1914.·········

Military
The United States shall be building a grand navy the likes of which this world has not seen before. Mass productions of Dreadnoughts are starting at the drydocks. The Wright Brothers are set in charge of investigating the possibility of using airplanes militarily. Considerable parts of the militias are being prepared for combat (exercise). Other militias are used for government-paid infrastructure projects.
Economy
The production of the T-Ford begins. Government-subsidized automatic vehicles, to be known as 'cars' will soon be available to even the middle class. The first T Ford was produced on August 12, 1908, and 15.000 orders were placed after the release. The car factories settle in Michigan and are expected to bring growth to the Midwest States.
Politically
Democrats pick up seats in the House. The effective government stays in Republican (Progressive) hands. Democratic Party starts shifting to the left and the socially liberal side whilst Republican shift slightly to the right and authoritarian side. US Marshals and Internal Affairs is looking into reported suspicious acts within the Naval Engineering Branch of the Military. Pg1t0vFt·

Italia 1910-
Economic- with the recent tax rise to pay for the resperations with the otomans, protests had been made. With unemployment On the rize Radical party's on both sides of the spectrum have been gaining suport. The government will lower taxes 5% for everone this year, 5% next year for middle and lower classes and 3% the third year for the lower class.
Military- if Italy should ever be a great power, she would need a powerful navy. Whilst ours is not to be underestimated we do not have the resources and money required to match a navy the size of say britain or the one us plans to make. The only chance we have of ruling the waves is to create something powerful enough to take on a larger amout of ships. We will work on a new design of submarine.

The subs were a great sucssess! The ships which were tested were destroyed quickly with ease. It saws through waters like a dolphin. When atacked it sustained very little damage. It was bombarded with coastal guns and ship artilary and was still fully operational. The fire rate is good. Though the accuracy is moderate we would like to improve it in the future. Just a few submarines cam take on the world's best ships. I would describe it as like in wc3 a submarine with someone like halsey or readar against a plain battle ship. We did not plan for such a success and will start producing them immediately. Currently there are few places, mainly in the north capable of making such subs. Factories will be built more evenly across the country. We wish to make jobs in secondary industry rather than primary. New skills will be taught. Foreign: we invite the sultan and his family to the palace of caserta for dinner and a stay to improve relations. Here the queen shall personaly apologize for the war. ( Der Kaiserreich)

Spain 1909-1911:Governmental Structure: With the loans from France, Philip V of Aragon has had to seek help from the Parliament a bunch, so they are gaining even more influence in the governmental system. Economy/Trade: We have had to increase taxes to pay for our loans from France ( Tadamichi Kuribayashi). We are going through a bit of an economic depression, and we are seeking help from any European power willing to provide it. As for trade, we are working toward exporting more and more products to pay for our loans quickly. Obviously, our people aren't happy. Culture: Culture stays pretty static.... Defense: We are sending most of our men home, so that we don't have to pay for their quarters or food or salary. We are also leasing some of the empty barracks as cheap, temporary housing. What's left is used for border and colonial defense. Despite the loss of money, we are still looking for successful planes. rqb27MGYColonial Affairs: Now that we own Morocco, we are going to look at creating docks there. Obviously, we can't do it right now with the taxes. Justice/Law Enforcement: With the increased taxes, we are looking at giving more rights to people so they don't rebel. Hopefully, that will work. British Empire 1910-1911:
Having obtained Japanese plane designs from Greece, 300 planes are produced, and airfields are built all across Britain and the Empire to accommodate the future air traffic. Research is made to try and improve the design to make it fly further. (6 needed for successful improvements)
CeL7tEJ_
When trying to fly the new design, the plane crashed, but the pilot was not hurt. Another shot is tried (5 needed now)
The plane flies very well now, and slight tweaks in the plane's performance and steering are also successful. With that task successfully completed, the scientists try to make an improved machine gun based off the Maxim gun (6 needed for the gun to work)
The machine gun, named the Vickers E-7, is successfully produced, and is to become the standard British Army machine gun when enough are produced.
South Africa and Ireland are made into Dominions in 1910, in an effort to appease the Irish and many of the people in South Africa. The Orange Free State and Natal are consolidated into the new Dominion of South Africa. Across the Empire, the infrastructure is upgraded in the rural areas of each colony, with efforts mainly going to the British Raj, the Outback, parts of Africa, and the remote Pacific islands. The long job of sending troops to each colony begins, and the governments in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, India, Ireland, and South Africa are cajoled into raising their own troops.
Military
In response to the growing naval power of America and others, and to keep to the two-power standard, the British Navy embarks on a great dreadnought-building campaign. 12 dreadnoughts are to be built in the next 5 years, and production of battlecruisers and pre-dreadnoughts is stepped up as well.
4 dreadnoughts 20 battlecruisers 9 pre-dreadnoughts
The army training in India has continued, with 300,000 regular Indian troops and 400,000 militia-level troops now serving in the British Raj. Troops are stationed as follows by the end of 1911: 300,000 troops in India (+400,000 militiamen) 250,000 troops in Britain 100,000 troops each in Ireland, Canada, Australia, and South Africa 50,000 troops in New Zealand 50,000 troops in British North Africa (Egypt, Sudan, British Somalialand, Kenya, Uganda) 40,000 troops in the Middle East (Yemen, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait) 30,000 troops in the rest of British Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Botswana, Zambia, Rhodesia, Malawi) 20,000 troops in British Malaya 20,000 troops throughout Belize, Bermuda, Bahamas, Jamaica, and other Caribbean islands 20,000 troops throughout British Pacific islands 5,000 troops in Cyprus 5,000 troops in the Falkand Islands (las Malvinas no son Argentinas) 5,000 troops in Hong Kong
Economy
No major trade deals are made during this time. Geologists are sent to look for oil (will roll for their success next year). Efforts are made in many rural colonies to improve industry and diversify what output they do make.
Conquest (yay)
The British government has decided to take advantage of the brain-dead government of Denmark. War is declared on Denmark, with the British government wanting land on the British continent once again and more land in the Atlantic. A small force of 20,000 troops is sent to Reykjavik, escorted by several battleships, with orders to conquer the rest of the island afterwards. Given that Iceland has had no standing army since 1869, and its population is less than 100,000, a 4 will be necessary to overcome any defenses and take Reykjavik.
The Icelandic resistance is crushed, and the British troops are able to take the rest of the islands without much difficulty afterwards. From Canada, 5,000 troops are sent to occupy Nuuk, the only settlement in Greenland worth occupying. Given that Greenland has a population of ~20,000, a 3 will be necessary for Nuuk to fall:
The Danes put up more resistance than expected, but the city falls. More Canadian troops are sent to occupy the little settlements around the southern part of Greenland before the worst of the winter weather hits. In the Caribbean, troops are sent to occupy the Danish Virgin Islands. There are only ~30,000 people there, so a 5 will be needed for all 3 islands to fall:
All 3 islands are fallen, and are incorporated into the British Virgin Islands. And in the largest campaign of the conflict, the British Army sets out to occupy Jutland and the surrounding islands. Several squadrons of ships are sent out to engage the Danish Navy. It is fairly modern, but size favors us, so a 6 will destroy enough of the navy to ensure a safe landing of British troops:
The Danish navy is successfully engaged and weakened, so the green light is given to begin the occupation. Two divisions of 30,000 troops are sent to Denmark, one to occupy Aalborg and the other to take Copenhagen. Denmark has a weak army in this time, and barely 2,500,000 people, so a 7 will be needed to take each city:
Aalborg: Copenhagen:
The operations go well, with resistance crushed in both places. Next, the troops move to occupy Hjorring County and the rest of Zealand with Lolland to the south. A 7 for occupation of Hjorring County and a 6 for Zeeland:
Hjorring: Zeeland:
Zeeland has fallen, but the Danes manage to hold on to Hjorring County, keeping the British at Aalborg. But regardless, the British government is willing to work with what they have now, so they contact the Danish government offering a peace. Zeeland and Lolland, along with Copenhagen, will be ceded to Britain, and Aalborg will be a British port, but the Danish may keep the rest of their land. (They've already lost their major colonies and their capital city, so I'll say a 7 will be enough for the Danish government to access to my demands)
The Danes refuse, so an attack on Funen is launched to try and persuade the Danes to change their mind. A 6-8 will take the island, and higher will result in an automatic Danish surrender.
Funen falls, so another peace is offered to Denmark, with the same terms. A 6 will make the Danes change their minds.
And peace is finally reached. The islands of Zeeland and Lolland are arranged into the new British territory of Zeeland. The existing government is left alone for the most part, but is made reportable to London now. The scale of British involvement in Aalborg is rolled back, with the Danes only being made to give British troops special trading privileges in the city. Another clause in the peace treaty states that Britain will not engage in war with Denmark again for 50 years.···························

1910 Osmanlı Sultanlığı
Military
The military reform went well. Soldiers are sorted by their languages and ethnicity and the Ministry of War is improved. The Chief of General Staff hopes this will improve the Ottoman army's performance. The army's current size is about a 800,000 men strong. Research continues: Rifles: Little improvement was made to the standard-issue rifles, which were German Mausers. Another attempt was made this year. 81YoxAZl With the improvement of parts of the Mauser rifle, it has better accuracy and rate of fire. Machine guns:
A Maxim-based machine gun is improved with better rate of fire and cooldown. The machine gun is named MT-01 ( Makineli Tüfek-01) Artillery: Some improvement was made to our artillery guns. However, there remains much to be desired.
Little done again. The Chief of General Staff is not amused. Armored vehicles: The research of the armored vehicle went well the last two years. The empire has developed an Armored Car prototype named ZV-1910 and is being tested out:
It goes well, and will be produced while further research is done. Meanwhile, engineers research on a way to put a canon on a land vehicle. Experts believe this may take years.
Ships: Our battleships were improved over the two years. However, we would not stand a chance should Britain's navy attack us.
Some improvements were made, but much needs to be done. Aircraft: The research for aircraft went well. Motorised gliders capable of flying for a few hours were created. A prototype for a balloon-based aircraft was built and tested. It runs well. Engineers now work on fitting armament on it.
Engineers also work on fitting a gun on the gilder.
Soldiers finally reach Tehran. Artillery is brought in place. The general calls for them to surrender. A 6 is required.
The Iranians surrender at the sight of the two foreign armies, both stronger than theirs. Iran will be partitioned between the Ottomans and Russians.
Economy
The economy doesn't change much this year. Reparations of the war went well. Only a little more before everything goes back to normal.
New railways are laid around the empire and all railways connected to or within the Ottoman Empire are being improved.
Political
New ministries, such as the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Transport, are formed to manage the empire. To solve border problems after the war, a vote is held in Libya for the people to decide who they want to be ruled by. People must fill in a card with X for Italians, O for Ottomans, and nothing for I don't care/neither. Italians:
Ottomans:
Neither:
The people prefer the Italians. They will pay a sum of money to us and take Libya. ·······································

Germany 1911 We made a deal with the Great Qing ( Laurent de Gouvion St. Cyr ). The Gewehr 98 rifle has been sent to the Qing and the Krupp Company has made investment in Qing armaments and naval yards. This will help Qing develop its military industry. In return Qing will send a portion (5%) of their arms produced to Germany and the german oil interests in China will be given several privileges. We test the final version of our recon plane. Bj2FKoe_The final version is just adequate enough to pass testing. We want to develop a plane with weapons now. Engineers are ordered to build a prototype It holds it self together. We do a flight test now The aircraft can fly well. We do some target practice with the plane The plane performs poorly in hitting its targets We focus on developing airbases in Germany to get ready for the deployment of our recon plane next year. The advisors hope Leonid Govorov will get better and can come back to lead the country soon. ·······

This is going to be one of my last turns before I go on break.
Royaume de Franco-Belgique/Koninkrijk van Franco-België 1911
Political
The topic for this year's Parliament is the militarization of neighboring nations. Many nationalist politicians were expressing concern about their standing in the global stage, while others wanted to stay away from global affairs and instead be increasingly neutral. As a result, two bills were put on debate. One was called the People's Bill, while the other was called the Great Civilization Bill (that moment when you rip off the People's Ticket from the Jacksonian era and the Great Society from Lyndon B. Johnson from AP US History). Debate was fierce, as both bills were vastly set apart from one another. The moment when one bill is passed, it will all be over. However, this session wasn't going to end any time soon. For a whole 8 months of constant debate, partisanship of the bills lead to indecisive outcomes. However, it changed September of 1911. Apparently, there was going to be another vote. The vote was going to be indecisive once more. Each politician were either a neutralist, or a militarist. Somehow, the fate of this vote had rested upon a drink. The Nationalists had decided to promote their nationalism by handing out Cognac to each politician on their side. A neutralist, wanting the Cognac, pretended to support the Nationalists and got a Cognac. He would However, other Neutralists were shocked by this move and thought he became a nationalist. Thusly, isolating the one neutralist lead him to get annoyed and soon became a nationalist. When the vote came around, his vote allowed the vote for the Great Civilization Bill to pass. However, he also wanted to reconcile the bill, and called for everyone to reform the bill to at least partially satisfy the Neutralists.
Economic The economy is still growing as usual, nothing to say here. Flemish nationalists recently begun to boycott French and Wallonian goods, but this does not affect the overall economy too much.
Military We plan to expand our military in general after the "Great Civilization" Plan, but for now, we will only focus on building warships. As we don't have dreadnoughts at this point in time, we will rely on building 10 Danton class battleships, 6 Gueydon-class armoured cruisers, and 10 Durandal-destroyers. As we can't build them all at once, we will build them three at a time, each taking about 2-3 years to build. We also plan to build more shipyards to make the work much faster, but that will take 2-3 years to build. We plan to build 4 shipyards on the English Channel, 3 shipyards on the Mediterranean coast, 1 shipyard in Corsica, 3 shipyards on the Algerian coast (though we will have to import steel), and 1 shipyard in Belgium. We continue to train our current forces, as well as begin to train with a couple of ships from the Qing navy. We also send naval advisors to Qing as a result of bettering relations.
Research
We have agreed to accept Greek research on armoured vehicles. They ask us to research zeppelins, so we shall do so. In order to catch up with the world's navies, we will also research dreadnoughts, though this won't take too long as a result of just some simple refitting.
Tank
y6RdpOMD
Our researchers were exhausted with this new overload. We will have to try again next year. Years required: 7.
Aeroplane
What...? How? How did this happen? We were so close!Argh, let's try again next year. Years required: 4
Dreadnoughts
Our one success. Our one success...PUSH FORWARD!
We pushed our luck. Years required: 1
Zeppelins
How does only get a massive balloon up? Our scientists are seriously confused. Years required: 10
Foreign Policy
We agreed to sell Tunisia to the Greeks, in exchange for a monarch.
Social
The cultural exchange has only begun to boom. The exchange between Chinese, French, and Dutch cultures is taking off in cities. It gets pretty strange to see European dresses of the time made of unique Qing fabrics.
(New category!) Colonial Affairs
With the help of the Franco-Belgian government, tribal leaders throughout the African colonies establish the Inter-Regional Colonial Affairs Council, where tribal leaders, along with representatives from the Franco-Belgian government, discuss local and regional affairs.
The first council, with François Georges-Picot (Remember him?) as the representative to the council from Franco-Belgium, has finally met. This session was only for deciding the rules and regulations on how the council will work. The most memorable part of this council was when somehow, someone brought in pillows for a pillow fight. The first actual session will begin next year.
(I will detail the Great Civilization Bill in another post.)·········
