True. Anyways do u need help with exercise in San Francisco? I think I have it under control, it's just that I keep forgetting to move my mechanized infantries out of range of the stupid carrier that keeps bombing them. I wonder if I should use motorized infantries too since they deal more damage to tanks? Use 2 quad stacked mechanized infantry and try to land them as quick as possible via the northern end. Make the rest of ur forces 2 double stacked cruiser and 1 triple sub. Put general in both infantry and cruiser. Don't attack anything with your infantry. Instead use your air force and navy to destroy all units and take them.

The only thing is that the stupid cities are 2 hexes from the coast so my cruisers can't get them.

I tried it with Nimitz with lvl 3 rumor on a tier-three sub and lvl sailor and Rommel with lvl 3 rumor on a tier-two cruiser with lvl 1 air defense(cannons) with three carriers and another cruiser but I still can't beat it. Dowding always hammers my sub and cruiser and even though I have air defense, he still deals up to 50 damage. And when I try to lure Mountbatten out, he immediately places down a tier-two sub and so my units are stuck there while my aircraft carrier tries to destroy the sub and the surace unites gets wrecked my Mountbatten. My Guderian has lvl 5 rumor and lvl 2 explosives. Should I switch to him? Or should I mass upgrade my navy and air tech? Thanks. P. S. If you want to see my tech lvl, let me know plz. I used two triple stacked subs with generals, the rest carriers (with generals if allowed). I don't move anything for several turns. I just use my carriers to clear out the northern units and coastal artillery. Once they're almost destroyed I'll move a sub to the south just out of range of the nearest unit (which if I recall is a cruiser or battleship). In the north, I moved the other sub just close enough to be able to grab the port on the next turn. The sub in the south will bait Mountbatten out (move to just out of firing range of Mountbatten). If a sub spawns in the port, just use carriers on it and try and block it from being able to move out of the port (otherwise another sub will spawn). I wish these were replayable so we can create guides for them.. I suppose it could be done on a mod.

The way I usually create guides for this is either use the WC4 clone app that I have, or for more advanced missions, I save the game, experiment with a strategy, and if it works, then load back my save state so I can take screenshots.

There may be cloner apps on the App Store too, but I'm not sure. The only thing I'll say is that cloner apps only clone app data, not your progress, so if you make a second account you'll have to start that one from scratch. Right now I'm doing a no generals no tech run to see how far I can get.

My squad:
- 4 aircraft carriers
- 2 cruisers
Heroes: Nimitz (carrier), Guderian (cruiser)
Strategy:
- the carrier will attack mountbatten until he has 50 health left (I'm worried the British cruiser will re-enter the base). This depends on the tech air (10 - 13 turns) and luck
- Attack south, this is a safe choice
- Use Guderian with fast movement to lure the Destroyer out of position and destroy it.
- continue doing this with 2 submarines (can use carriers to attack if you did after the first step) this will take about 10 turns.
- Make sure from turn 13 - 14 Guderian is in position just enough to capture the port (about 4 boxes).
- Turn 15, destroy Moutnbatten and capture the port
Here is a strategy you can refer to

I sent Guardian on a triple sub to the north and held him back until my BS and carrier cleared the north channel. Sent Nimitz on a BS with 2 stacks of cruisers to work the southern channel. As soon as I opened up the northern channel I sent my Southern fleet up to draw out Mountbatton out and slipped in the Guardian subs.
