I am now stuck at Union mission 1, my generals are Konev, Rommel, Leeb and Nimitz (all decently upgraded). I currently have just over 1400 medals and want to get a second tank commander, my original goal was Guderian but he costs a total of 2900 something medals, which is a long way from my perspective, so maybe Vatutin might be a decent choice. What do you guys think?

I would choose the banana, because of its great skills. It has Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Manganese, People Tripping, Army Feeding, AND has 6 stars in Healthy Food, which outclasses both Vatutin and Guderian. If you want the best choice, choose the banana.
EDIT: It's only .58 USD a pound, amounting to only 186 medals!

I have your exact lineup except for my Guderian, my Messe & my lack of Rommel.
If I can sell off Messe to be able to buy extra discounted Rommel & get your lineup PLUS Guderian, it's definitely possible for you to get Guderian.

The people tripping ability really grabbed my attention.

I still need to get about 1500 medals whoch is allot, considering I am stuck in the UN missions and in most Cold War hard scenario’s, I am still trying to get the 150 medals from one star Cold War conquest, but need to get lucky I guess. I also get 500 medals from rank A in 1980 and I’ll most likely get it with a three star country, so another 50 medals, which adds up to 700 medals, if I can get that then I only need to farm 800 medals more.

You beat NATO and WTO 6 with those generals? How did you do it, if you don't mine me asking.

Mountbatten, I have created a thread on how I have beaten Nato 6: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/7798/nato-final-base-tech-guideFor WTO 6: I went for the first city in the east, in round 2 I used Rommel to take care of the paratroopers in the starter city, then defend the allies city in the south, after that was as good as secured, he joined the front line. After I captured the first city I fought my way to the north, to Arnold. Then went to the most east city, capturing all cities in the north east, with an exception of the city on the east side of the lake at Detroit and basicly neglected the harbor at Detroit. I did build a simple medium tank to defend against paratroopers, which will try to retake the city. And I avoided Washington untill I captured the most north-east city. Again when attacking Washington, the key is rumor. I had put Nimitz (who has rumor lvl 5) on the second super tank and Konev (also has rumor lvl 5) on a super rocket, which I built in the city of Mac Arthur (which I captured, last, before heading for washington). With just a little bit luck, you will have disabled Eisenhower in 2 turns, if not, you will most likely disable him in the third turn. Then it is just a race against the clock to capture the last city in the south, which is not too difficult to capture, just use your nukes (if you didnt use it on Eisenhower, or you made extra) on it, allong with strategic/stealth bombers. And just race your generals towards that city, avoiding all other troops and cities to maybe save one or two turns.
