dunno if this was put forward earlier, I can't remember I was tried as a war criminal for commanding troops that pillaged Nanking. I was acquitted of all charges for "following orders" I never set foot on the Japanese main islands I was a prominent general of the front in the Second Sino-Japanese War. After the war, I was a military adviser for the Chinese

Easy One: I was the son of a samurai in the service of Satsuma Domain, graduated from the Imperial Japanese Army Academy with a mastery of swordsmanship, Took part in the Japanese "Siberian Intervention," mastered the art of Bottleneck, was considered one of the more reformed commanders of Japan, was apolitical, had a realistic view of WW2, hated the Soviet Union, was noted for leading from the front, and destroyed the Chinese 14th Army.
