Okay. the answer was Jack Kevorkian, not to be confused with cristopher Duntsch who also had the nickname "Dr.death".
This next person is someone who I suspect is much better known on this forum.
She was part of the Russian cavalry and one of the very few officers who kept a personal account of her activities, which serve as one of the earliest examples of an autobiography that was originally written in Russian.
