I have completed the Axis Pacific Campaign! All that’s left is the Allied campaign in the Pacific. I’m at Allies 9, the final mission for the Pacific Campaign, and I’ve never lost so many times ever.
This mission is REALLY hard, the Soviets die quickly at sea and the US + British landings are a complete failure...
Any tips on how to complete this? Vatutin got me this far...

Land at the Western-most portion of the main island, takeover the nearby bases & nuke Nagasaki. Finish Nagasaki off with navy &/or use air power, then send paratrooper in. Quickly kill off Koiso then march on Tokyo. Takeover Itagaki's base & pray Hata remains in the city on Hokkaido island. If yes, save up $$ while sailing troops across. Land your troops & time the attack, it should weaken Hata enough that you can kill him by air & send a paratrooper in.

I’ll try to complete some conquests, upgrade tech or the rank of Vatutin and I’ll see from there if I can complete it then Nvm! I have completed it exactly at round 30, I was scared for my life on that one

Trying out the new Cold War scenarios and campaigns, I hit a roadblock
Vatutin alone cannot get me through (without any expensive upgrading) or at least proves very difficult for now
Should I buy Leeb now? Or grind the medals in conquests and invest in some general other than Leeb instead?
I currently have 1830 medals
If I complete the conquests (1939 and 1943) that are possible for me to succeed, I will get 800 medals
So, 2630 medals
Idk about 1950
Any ideas or suggestions?

IMO the best choice now is to get Nimitz and Konev with 40% discount (they both cost around 2800 medals and you get some 200 medals for unlocking them). With such team you will be able to clear CWE and also handle all invasions (especially if you have PL and AA medals). May be you will face some problems in last scenarios, but if you have so few medals, than you must be able to get some medals from challenges and exercises/battles, hard scenarios, so by the time you reach last CWE scenarios you will be able to afford Guderian.

I see. But first, it's telling me that I must buy a building first After buying it, then I'll have to do the combat tasks if I want to get the discount I'll need some intel on it first so I don't have to risk it all for nothing Is it even possible if I can get the discounts as I am now? If not, then what's the answer to this? I could sure use intel such as the maps, strategies, any troops you have to buy, any safe setups to win, etc. So for now, I'll be waiting (farming / clearing anything I can)

No, you don't need to buy wonder to unlock gen. Just ignore it if you don't want to buy that wonder. I have got Nimitz with 40% discount when I had Timoshenko without upgrades, and not more than pacific tech, unlocking Konev I had Timoshenko and Nimitz also without upgrades and still not more than pacific tech. It is possible and not so hard in fact.

Just remember that I unlocked Konev 40% discount when I got enough medals and that was quite easy. If you give screenshots may be I remember something.

Here you go As I remember, yes, nothing special, just use as many howitzers as possible and split them in as many stacks as possible.

Should I buy Konev once at 40% discount? Or save and buy Guderian?
Maybe sell Vatutin for Guderian and Konev? What do you guys think?

Should I buy Konev once at 40% discount? Or save and buy Guderian? Maybe sell Vatutin for Guderian and Konev? What do you guys think? Let's think logically... Sooner or later daily Invasions will be your only source to get medals. That means you need at least 3 generals for that. 1. Konev. Best art general in the game and he can defeat any Inf Invasion. european-war-4.boards.net/thread/7330/infantry-general-who?page=32. Tank general. To be honest you don't need Guderian for Invasions. Vatutin has excellent skills for a short brutal fight. Give him AA, upgrade his skills and he won't let you down. 3. Nimitz. Imo, one of the best Navy generals in the game. No difference between him and Doenitz, imo. And you can get him for 1700 medals. Upgrade these 3 men and you will have 110-170 medals per day (after all medal buildings are built). And after that you can plan your further steps... So you will have a constant income of medals without even an active involvement in the game. For sure you can find 10-15 minutes twice a day to defeat Invasions. Be sure that you complete your daily tasks as well, for tech tree is of great importance in WC4.

I did as you say, I used x10 Howitzers in this case I made it up to the 40% discount which I hit a roadblock on Konev died too quickly Your aim is to capture the city on the west before they take down Konev. If you dont hold any objective, you will lose (and if you are defeated AND loose troops, that the worst outcome posible, so if things are looking too bad, quit before you lose any troop and retry) If you can take that city, its all guccy, whilst you are sure not to lose it, you will only have to worry about the limitation of turns
