Cover is going to be helpful. A tank general being able to evade damage is like boosting his health. Cover is too defensive for the best general and main damage dealer. Plus his blitzkreig saves him from a lot of counterattacks anyway. He should be instead given a damage dealing skill like plain fighting or explosives I strongly agree. Explosives is the better choice imo. But not too high level initially, heck lvl 2 is fine initially. Cover is better than mechanist imo though because it is just as good in campaigns as it is in conquest. |

He should be instead given a damage dealing skill like plain fighting or explosives hmm ok then during the next easytech racing mode event ill use some of the medal rewards to switch out guderian's cover for plain, grr beforehand he already had plain, but i switched... well luckily his cover is still at level 1. |

if he gets all 3 tank medals then he should have explosives (recommended)
If only 2 tank medals then he can have plain with medal boost.
Or if you want to do a super speed run where rumour is useless then go both xD (actually 1980 world record was set by having rumour switched out for more damage)

For people that have Manstein, I think buying Guderian isn’t necessary in the beginning. You already are going to start with 5 skills which you can max, and maxing them will cost less than buying Guderian and maxing him.
