No i think you are right, maxing out manstein with medals and than going for other types of generals in different unit categories could be smart. Because there is only one iron cross medal is all i am saying rumor cries in the corner, Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus I thought you were a passionate advocate for rumor on generals Depends on the unit type. I think that konev with rumor and mechanist is bizarrely overpowered. At the same time tho, I’d probably give rommel plain for the extra damage

Guys, I have a question. I’ve already decided myself and I’m maybe going to buy Guderian as my secondary tank gen, because Manstein is already my main tank gen. He is at worst slightly worse than Guderian. I’m going to buy Yamashita as my main infantry gen, Konev as my main artillery gen and Arnold as my main and only air gen. Kuznetsov is already my main navy gen. Here comes my question: Is it worth it to have a secondary or tertiary gen in a category? Or is the main gen already enough? Kuznetsov has better skills than Dönitz, and he has potentially more navy skills than Nimitz and Yamamoto because they also require air skills. He is at least cheaper than them, Yamamoto especially. Manstein is tied with Timoshenko for being the fastest tank gen, and the only thing that makes him inferior to Guderian is the fact that he has tide of iron instead of potentially rumor, which are both good skills to be honest. Konev is the indisputable best artillery gen in the game and Arnold is the best pure-air gen in the game.

Unless they are the rare exception of guderian, they won’t have blitzkrieg + rumor + 2 damage skills. I think that flanking is easier.

But I am guessing that most normal players quit at that point.

Nimitz and Kuznetsov is one of the cheapest builds. I tried out donitz. I put donitz on a sub with maxed out wolfpack and sailor whereas nimitz is on a double stacked cruiser with maxed out explosives. Really powerful combo.

Destroys capital cities by cruiser in one or two turns

For those who don’t have issues with medals and that are having issues with Guderian not being available early enough, try doing as many challenges as you can.

Challenges and waiting till you have all of the medals you need from tasks. By then you will have really overpowered generals and really overpowered boosters, making it easier to rush through the game.

Search for “ New World Order being playable” or something like that. Alternatively you can just click on my profile and see the threads that I have created. It will be there.

I’m still confused about the 5th skill to give to Guderian. That’s the problem with really good generals - you don’t know what to give them next XD. I've heard that explosives are good for him. Those fortifications can be really annoying and it would be good to get rid of them easily. I'm also going to ask if it is worth it to completely max the skills of a general that is considered great. Example: Is it worth it to max all of Manstein's skills including Tide of Iron? Is it worth it to max all of Rommel's skills that include Crossfire?
