I’m still confused about the 5th skill to give to Guderian. That’s the problem with really good generals - you don’t know what to give them next XD. I've heard that explosives are good for him. Those fortifications can be really annoying and it would be good to get rid of them easily. I'm also going to ask if it is worth it to completely max the skills of a general that is considered great. Example: Is it worth it to max all of Manstein's skills including Tide of Iron? Is it worth it to max all of Rommel's skills that include Crossfire? 1. I put pf. Helps a lot imo. 2. Up to you entirely.

Thanks. Now I can stop Tide of Iron from haunting my mind.

Thanks. Now I can stop Tide of Iron from haunting my mind. Tide of Iron is definitely good because a generals output falls low once their at say 12% health (well, it is still relatively high at 70% of your original output). Manstein already has level 3 tide which is enough imo.

Yeah. I’m going to give Guderian Ace Forces along with Rumor. Imagine how OP he will become.

Yeah. I’m going to give Guderian Ace Forces along with Rumor. Imagine how OP he will become. !!! ace forces pulls down guderian's capabilities. 1) He gets red star within 5 turns of attacking if you use him well without ace forces 2) Plain fighting or explosives will be a deadlier choice. I used explosives and it is recommended, I can deal up to 300 damage on an open city with guderian

Great. I will use explosives then. Thank you. Now I will have two generals to get rid of those pesky fortifications.

I think plain fighting will help more on one on one combat my take on guderian with explosives: Since he is on a tank and can attack multiple times: Imagine this scenario with a enemy city guarded by bunkers and infantry. Guderian can easily one shot a bunker with a critical hit and at least some rank. So just use him to destroy infantry, get morale/rank up, and with explosives one tap forts. Lastly, supercharged guderian will land a killer blow on the city. No matter the terrain, guderian can always clear up a spam and make it bunker/land fort free so that yamashita in infantry and konev in artillery can go in, and combined with guderian they can easily take a capital city in one move.

Having a damage boost for being in the most common terrain is less useful than a percentual damage boosts for fortifications and cities, especially since cities are the most important attack target in the game.

Imo, then probably gearing up guderian with pf and explosives would be best. Imagine how much damage he’ll do to cities then

Forgot to give my advice for him. As you know, Heinz Guderian is the best tank general in the game, being better than Erich von Manstein. Despite being the most expensive general in the game, he is absolutely worth it, starting with all essential tank skills and being able to equip Rumor and Explosives. Buy him, and he will be very tough for the enemy to take down. He is essential for you roster. You won’t regret it. I’d say he and Yamashita are the only generals with a price higher than 2000 that are really worth buying because they are better than their competition and are great from the start, unlike many generals that need a lot of medals to be spent to become great.

He was, but I tried Kuznetsov with max Rumor and Arnold and they performed better in their respective roles than Yamamoto in either of them.
