Okay, so I'm saving up for Nobunaga, just reached empire age, if I beat a one star conquest I get 250 medals. Which one do I do? I can't seem to decide.
Generals: Alexander on a hoplite, 1174 HP and 291 damage, all his gear I got without spending medals.
Robin Hood on Longbowman, has knight armor on that I got for free, 658 HP and 239 damage.
Cleopatra on Ballista, 736 HP and 153 damage.
Huo Qubing on Cavalry, 583 HP and 202 damage.
The only one I probably wouldn't do is Angkor because that would take a lot of time and I don't have enough time for it.
Thanks for help.

Two tips: 1. Play only those countries which supply you with literature as reward. So Greece is perfectly fine. 2. Play conquests only with strong generals. It is a general rule (not only for Classical age). Thus you can save your time and nerves. There is no urgent need to play conquests right from the start. With strong generals you can complete conquests in 30 turns or less. Since I can't say that conquests are the exciting part of EW5 (and there are plenty of them) - your main goal is to complete them as easy and fast as you can, claim your rewards and forget about them .

England - NO GO. Reasons: An island power VS a continental Empire. Also has no friends.
Greece - STRONGLY RECOMMENDED (Mid-tier to strong gens needed) Reasons: Direct expansion, meaning you expand in specific directions that do not force you to wage war on too many fronts. Has the Roman Empire as a major ally.
Angkor - Recommended (Mid-tier gens needed) Reasons: China & India are your allies, allowing a focused Eastward expansion.
Japan - Not recommended. Reasons: An island power VS a big empire. You have no friends.
India: Not recommended Reason: You only have Angkor as a friend, meaning you have no major power to help you. After beating Persia, you have complicated expansion paths.

You'll see why when you get to Discovery/Gunpowder.

It's also worth pointing out that once you start a conquest you're stuck with your generals as they are at the time you start it, so any upgrades or new equipment added will not apply to your generals in a saved conquest.

What can I do to get more medals easily? Campaigns are the main source of medals. Have you picked up all the ones for achievements and behind the stars at the top right of the campaign screen?

Got all for classical, currently stuck on Son of Scotland 3, either Wallace kills himself or some how my generals on the right side of the map get murdered by longbowmen. also I got 150 medals from Kiev defense, 100 for getting a 10th gen (with coins), and around 50 from daily missions. Now I need 200 medals.

Seems like a good time to try and increase your number of cities by playing battles and attack missions, and some of the attacks might even have some resources/equipment to collect.

^_^.
Do not forgive. Do not forget. Old Dwarven saying. I also look back on my mistakes until remember them and know that they'll not return.
