I disagree with your Fatimah analysis. She isn't a combat general, she is an economy general. She is the only general with Architecture and Economic Master. Her purpose is to stay on cities and double your income, not fight enemies. She definetely isn't the worst princess. Maria holds that honor.

Also, Sophia is one of the best artillery generals in the game, but you have her listed under "*Auto Corrected* generals". For people who can't do 44 round conquests to get Isabela, Sophia is amazing. I have beaten the Sun Never Sets campaign without Isabela. I instead had Sophia who actually carried me to the America campaign almost entirely on her own.

OMG! Sophia declined? She on siege artillery is known as the best fortresses&cities cracker of the whole EW4 in my Chinese forum! Even more recommended than Murat!

Thank you for mentioning it, I never have economy generals and always have a mind-set for picking out combat generals.

And Berthier is even better than Golitzyn... After you put tons of medals(about 3500?) for him, he will be a beast which moves very fast.

Great thread ! Ofcourse these are opinions and not everyone will agree or have the same ideas about the worth of each generals/princess.Some will value mobility over power, some value certain skills more than others ect..Still it's good to see how everyone thinks.
I happen to like Sophia too she is an amazing introductory general and can even be used as an end game general.
Also I wanted to add that economic generals are much less valuable than initially thought imo,I made a thread a while back showing that the econ book overides and makes the econ skill obsolete,in other words:with the book any general in the game becomes an economic general.

I found it, it say that 3660 medals can make Berthier has both cavalry and movement 5. Not many people can get 3600 medals... so for now Golytsin is a good starting cav Gen with 5 stars cav and 2-3 movement no cost on upgrading

I hope you guys need at some point this. I will keep working at this today for a bit. The few reasons I like this forum and Suvorov this is gonna be really useful at some point I guess

A little typo. Dobeln has Bugle, not Formation. Here are some of my opinions, - Davout can be a good cav/art general. If he commands cavalry, he has Surprise, Assault Art, and Geography (this is basically Berthier that gives up strike for assault art). And if he commands artillery, he has Explosive, Assault Art, and Geography which are all good. Though, he is not as good as specialized generals like Lasalle or Moreau, he is still a good general (at least better than Napoleon). - Sorry Jean Lannes. In this game Lannes is not good. Leadership and Geography are not useful for infantry. With only two good skills, he is inferior to Victoria or Suvorov or even tier2 general like Oudinot or Dobeln. - You (only) need 1500 medals (Agha 4x) to make Berthier 5 stars in cavalry. This number is not that unreasonable considering the fact that you will need to buy Warhorse for Golytsin and one item slot is occupied. And medals can be farm in EW4.

I think Leadership is important for Jean Lannes.. considiring that cavalry charges evades morale. Also on Campaigns you can have limited food which can drop morale... except for Lannes who has Leadership. .. sure you can capture farms but that will take time and waste time. Also if Lannes is cornered, he doesent get morale down or get the cloudy question mark. So really Geography ia the only.useless thing for Jean Lannes
