Lannes can be used on different units while Suvorov only on one. Of course will there be an infantry unit in any conquest or campaign but he CAN be used on other units.

If you run out of food in the campaign, Lannes is your only normal unit left. A lot of good that will do. And only once in a blue moon will you actually run out of food during a mission.

That actually happened alot of times. Leadership made Lan the best Cav gen in the game..... with leader ship Lannes would be tier 2

Plus it isnt all about food... How about when the AI corner you? He morale reduces the damage

Even with the limted use of the Leadership, he still has the nearly useless Geography. So that's 2 meh skills while Suvorov has all 4 very useful infantry skills.

I still think Leadership is important... it isnt limited use

I still think Leadership is important... it isnt limited use Regardless of opinion, Leadership is a circumstantial skill making it a limited use skill. A skill like Mass Fire will always take effect while Leadership will only take effect at certain times.

So why does Leadership always taking effect in my game?

Well if leadership is always taking effect, all of your units are always at low morale?

The skill isnt passed around the general area... only that one unit with leadership (Lannes) will take effect... it doesent effect units in the other area

meaning it only takes effect to Lannes's unit

You are missing my point. I know it only effects Lannes. Nevermind.

what was your point?

My point is that Leadership only does something when you have low morale. It removes the low morale. Therefore it is only used certain times (when you have low morale). Suvorov's 4 infantry skills take place every time he attack though, giving him 4 constant skills while Lannes has a circumstantial one and a nearly useless one.

A little typo. Dobeln has Bugle, not Formation. Here are some of my opinions, - Davout can be a good cav/art general. If he commands cavalry, he has Surprise, Assault Art, and Geography (this is basically Berthier that gives up strike for assault art). And if he commands artillery, he has Explosive, Assault Art, and Geography which are all good. Though, he is not as good as specialized generals like Lasalle or Moreau, he is still a good general (at least better than Napoleon). - Sorry Jean Lannes. In this game Lannes is not good. Leadership and Geography are not useful for infantry. With only two skills are good, he is inferior to Victoria or Suvorov or even tier2 general like Oudinot or Dobeln. - You (only) need 1500 medals (Agha 4x) to make Berthier 5 stars in cavalry. This number is not that unreasonable considering the fact that you will need to buy Warhorse for Golytsin and one item slot is occupied. And medals can be farm in EW4. I think Leadership is important for Jean Lannes.. considiring that cavalry charges evades morale. Also on Campaigns you can have limited food which can drop morale... except for Lannes who has Leadership. .. sure you can capture farms but that will take time and waste time. Also if Lannes is cornered, he doesent get morale down or get the cloudy question mark. So really Geography ia the only.useless thing for Jean Lannes Speaking about campaigns... In case You have problems with food You need to get food. Lannes won't be able to smash all the enemies on the map. You normally need all Your generals with normal morale in order to win the mission. Second remark regarding encirclement of the infantry unit. You need to avoid it even though You have good morale as infantry is not a cavalry that could hit several times per turn and most likely be defeated when cirсled. So Leadership could of course be useful even for infantry but very very occasionally so other skills are much more preferable.
