1. Lasalle. His starting stars look good, five cav five moving. However, two out of four of his skills are useless. 2. Wittgenstein . Again, his starting stars look good, five army, four cav. Now all of his skills are bad. 3. Bagration. He is famous, he is the main character in War and Peace. He is a army general, he has only two skills that is good. 4. Barclay. Bagration's boss. However, bugle and siege together really? 5. Blutcher. He defeated Napoleon. His starting stars are great. All of his skills are bad. 6. Mortier. Plain bad. 7.Napoleon. The main character. Look at his skills, basically a one star artillery general. Bad general update: 1.Paget, very, very bad. 2.Soult, seems good with good skills, worth it? No. 3. Cotton, I think he reminds me of a cavalry general in tier 2, who is cheaper, and a trainer as well. 4.Sidney, if you haven't notice already he only has two skills. And only he is lacking leadership and fire proof. (his is too expensive) 5. The general from Russia, who only has assault art, mobility and econ, who made me restart the game. ______________________________________________________________ Moderated by Nobunaga Oda for implicitly aggressive language. serbiaball, bennigsen is a okay general, but exist better generals like golitsyn or sulkowski with around the same price.

I also got a list of extremely overrated generals. Here it goes. I will similarly include a list of underrated generals as well.
1. Hull. The only skill he has is formation. Infantry tactics and trench are both amongst the worst skills in the game. He is the Maria of Infantry generals. Plenty of cheaper generals who are miles better than him.
2. Grouchy: your paying for a general who has engineering and nothing else. Just give sokolnicki, carteux, or scharnhorst an oak wheel and they will he miles better than him.
3. Picton: you are literally paying for a general that has Mass fire and nothing else. Get Zakrevsky, he is literally cheaper and a trainer.
4. Wellesley? Bugle + Leadership. Noice. He looks a lot like that Nelson dude, doesn’t he? Anyway, Nelson has all the good qualities Wellesley offers but more training stars, movement, two ranged attack, and being amazing on ships. Your probably going to give your snare drum to the cavalry generals: Lan, Berthier, Golitsyn...
5. Radetsky/Dabrowski/Lassalle: all are great. But at the end of the day, they don’t hold a candle to either Berthier or Lan. You really don’t want more than 2 cavarly generals as a cavarly general without a snare drum is hard to keep alive. But if you can build a team of 6 generals.
6. Yermolov: he starts really slow, which you will need a horse artillery to fix (around 500 medals). In retrospect, Scharnhorst will only need an oak wheel to fix his. Yermolov’s other skill is formation. An infantry general who lacks mass fire = useless. You replace those with artillery generals. As there are only two snare drums in the game, it is very rare to come up with an exception for this rule (Dearborn barely scrapes by).
7. Sidney: almost bought him. Don’t.
8. Bernadotte: a meh economy general (not even master) with bugle. Joseph Bonaparte or Fatimah are far better.
9. Iap generals in general: Slots >>> Generals, if you buy around 3-5 more slots, you will easily find a way to keep some of the best generals such as Berthier, Kate, Victoria, Dobeln, Koscuisko, Scharnhorst on your team even in end game.
10. Murat: he isn’t bad by any means, but cracking 162 against forts is yet a way Murat has yet to surprise me with, even with assualt art triggering.

Well I am sorry dude I need disagree some of your opinion 1.imo Weslley is a great gen,as you said leadership+bugle is great banner is also good, but the difference between Nelson and Weslley is that in land Nelson only have three usable skill while Wesley have 4(economic master).so he is a good city defender(leadership prevent demoralised and Econ get more cash.) and charger while Nelson can only charge so he is not overrated just not suit many people tactic (offence always better than defence) manstein you might want to add on too since you use wellsey more than me
2.for Radetzky and dabrowski. I can get where you come from but they both have defence art so for a s/l player, this is the gen they want to get so that they can swift through conquest easily 3.murat have the highest damage holder in the Chinese forum I think is around 340++,so he is good and soon you will be surprised (although I don't like this guy at all but I have speak up for him)

I never really figured out how to use S&L with defense art. But definitely true.,

Anyway, here is my extremely underrated generals list. Keep an open mind, some of these dudes are still going to be in the “meh” category but worth appreciating.
1. August 1: 340 medals for some who has architecture, 3 buisness stars, and buisness trainer. Jesus christ that is good. I got him first before anyone in my no iaps playthrough and he was pretty good.
2. Fatimah: put her on a farm, city, or a factory and your economy will be better than the american economy after ww2. Put her on light infantry and let her go to work.
3. Raevsky: seriously, no one uses this guy? Diez is extremely painful to spawn and farm for. This guy has move trainer on top of surprise and defense art. He moves fast as well. In my opinion, this guy would be amazing with some items.
4. Sakurako: Archuke Charles except good on artillery as well? Jesus. Give her decent items and she won’t dissappoint.
5. Barclay: this guy gets way too much hate and backlash in my opinion. Sure he isn’t the best, but don’t forget, there are two other iaps that are worse than him, and believe me, Barclay has a long way to go to sucking as much as these do. These are Alexander I and Suchet.
6. Lannes: my favorite infantry general. Sure his output is meh (in the 40-60 range tho usually, protected by assualt art tho) and he starts off slow, but he has amazing survivability with mass fire, leadership, and assualt art. Furthermore, with the right items and enough investment, he will be op on any land unit you shove him on. Fighting him in campaign missions is the most anagonizing moment in the game, especially if you don’t have your artillery generals nearby and his morale is increased.
7. Nelson: but muh Moreau has 4 artillery skills and great stars. Nelson and Moreau start out with the same movement. Moreau has explosives on Nelson but Nelson has leadership, 4 training stars, and lots of potential on navy with the right build (battle of trafalgar medal farming). I will admit though, I was a bit harsh on Wellesley.
8. Paget: your telling me that a general with strike and assualt art is bad? Overhated, but not worth purchasing though.
9. Scharnhorst: give him an oak wheel and he’ll be Isabella without geography. Is that good? Yes of course, this guy is the best non princess artillery general.
10. Savary: Murat but with fireproof instead of assualt art. Don’t spend your precious emblems on Murat, buy someone great instead.
11. Poniatowski: overpowered, this guy is a mistake.
12. Charles: forget that joke Junot, charles comes with siege master and surprise. Sadly, even he falls victim to a guy named Dumouriez.
13. Kutuzov: but muh Suvorov? But muh Archduke Charles? Seriously, when he is on infantry, all four of his skills are active. You cannot say the same for many generals (Victoria). A nice general tbh, good survivability too.
14. Washington: A bit weaker than Lannes as he loses his assualt art but Washington can grab and hold cities well, earning you a couple bucks in the process.
15. Dearborn: a solid general as well. Formation + bugle = 2/3 ai brock. Very fast as well. But in the beginning, he just takes so much damage. Luckily, if you give him tall boots, he’ll move 4 hexes on grenadiers and 5 hexes on light infantry. 5 star movement is never something you should overlook, partially due to Diez’s ridiculous price. Worth appreciating. Sadly, Koscuisko will most likely keep him from our arsenals.
16. Massena: leadership, 5 star traning, surprise, and good stars make him a decent cavarly general. Sadly, a dude named Poniatowski also blocks his career. Still, at least a 4/5 stars on cavarly.
17. Ushakov: 1 word: awesome.
18. Rowland: get him early on, shove a snare drum and tall boots on him and you have Washington. If you are prepared to invest a snare drum, getting him is very smart.
19. Blasius: unlike that fool Drummond, Blasius comes ready with formation and spy, making him the best fort cracker right behind Savary, Sulkowski, and Sophia. Worth appreciating but not getting.

Finally!!!,Padget and revesky gets it recognition after all these year of been the trash gen. Well I also have some underrated gen tho so here is mine: 1.cornplanter I know disguse sucks but he have formation+banner which means you can use him as a support until you buy brick, archduke c or Sukarno. 2.drummond people say that he only can hit fort but he start with 4 star artillery. So he is basically a wigestin on artillery which mean his damage is not to bad.well sadly he can be replaced by many other like our princess sofia 3.hood and duckworth(10 medal more expensive but same skill and similar star)he can whack city like rome, naple, Copenhagen and many more city with reduction of damage and have some star on artillery too so why no one use them?

Corn Planter/Eugene/Belsford are definitely not bad generals. 2. Drummond sadly has the skill “Ballistics” which is useless (does absolutely nothing, I think broken is the correct term. This means that ney on artillery is a bit better. And you already do have Sophia. But still, there are far worse generals. 3. Definitely. I like the both of them. There movement is a bit slow at first but definitely something you can fix.
