I have an question want to ask your, I have Karl,Mahmoud II and 4 free generals, what is the next type general (Inf, Cav, Art, Nav) to buy ? I have near 1098 medals. Get Murat. Best non-iap cav. King rank, cavalry commander to buff other cav general like bagration, precision strike increases cav base damage, plain fighting gives damage steroid in plains (which can be found everywhere), maneuver for even more consistent damage. If you need more brawn you can even get more damage with surprise attack which increases damage based on number of hexes moved. Pick him if you want consistent damage. His only rival in king rank is davout, who has more damage against infantry, is also more reliant on luck and rng with riding master and tactic master. City fighting is a good skill but it is more defensive in nature, since you sacrifice the mobility of cav to hold a city. Davout is good too but Murat is better. Dabrowski is weaker clone of murat. He only has 4 skills (no maneuver so enemies on barrier receive lower damage) and a duke at max so lvl 4 skills which makes him makes him weaker than murat in everything. Yup, or just get Massena. You can never go wrong with Massena. |

A few questions for this thread:
1. What is the difference/mechanics between Basic Attack and (type of unit (i.e. Infantry)) Attack? Are they combined together or is the BA simply telling you what damage you will throw if not in specified unit type?
2. Is Suvurov worth it anymore? I'm not intending to buy him as of now, but he was pretty OP in EU4. Has that changed or is his attack still awesome?
3. I've seen people want Karl for infantry general. Is he really good? People bring up the skills of a general, but is his damage output without them enough?
4. I decided to restart my game. What general should I be getting based on a list? For example, "get Karl, then Murat, than... etc. Etc." I'm thinking about bypassing Massena and getting Karl. But, I'm open in hearing a list of what to get as time goes on.

Suvorov is worth it after buying atleast 2 infantry commander gens(Barclay, Massena,Karl) 3.Karl is good. Massena is better. 4.Massena ftw. But if you skip Massena, just get Barclay, which is the inferior massena. Dabrowski and Ney are also great. |

Battle ability is additional damage to any unit type. Specific Ability adds additional damage to a specific unit. Both occur when you use them on a specific unit whereas on BA works on anything else. 2. He is better than he was in ew4 imo. But that’s because I wasn’t a bit fan of him in ew4. He deals massive damage, but I wouldn’t buy him till you have both karl and massena in your arsenal. 3, He is really good. But massena is much better in the beginning due to his strong fortress damage. Karl has a very strong skill set but he lacks assualt which massena possesses. He is worth getting right after. 4. Built a 2 by 2 lineup. I suggest getting Massena first to buff both of the free inf generals, than Mahmud to buff jourdan (or alexander but Mahmud is more noob friendly). Than I would get Murat as he is very strong. Make sure you buy the best healing items early and give them to your generals (upgrading both falsen and gates health to 35%). After that, i would first build a 2-2-2 lineup: karl, massena, murat, daborwski, mahmud, alexander/john. |

Haha, sorry dude, I didn’t realize. I would definitely 100% get Sakurako. As for the two other choices... uh... well depends on what you want. I am guessing since crimean war campaign is such a pain, I would get ney and john. But sakurako I would definitely get because she will be very useful in said challenge |

I'm stuck on Crimean war battle of balaclava. Yup. Although you can complete it with Nelson, It would be hard to 3 star every campaign with only 1 navy gen. You can just sell Sakurako later on if you want. |
