Watched it live. This is the first time on 5 world cups that the winners of last one have not been out in first 2 games. The Belgium vs Tunisia game was very good as well.

Surprisingly england this wc has a very good team Slightly unrelated but... That Germany-South Korea match was boring until the end, when it looked like Germany imploded (that first goal you can't fault them for, that was lucky) but Neuer getting tackled upfield before the Koreans slammed it upfield to Son, who put the nail in the coffin, showed that this isn't the German team of 2014, slowly dominating their games, Yes England are very very good... I've seen a lot of Brits on twitter saying 'It's coming home' a reference to them (hopefully) winning the world cup again. Belgium is also deadly, they've proved to be a dark horse of the tournament.

Also, a couple matches I thought were excellent:
Portugal 3-3 Spain Germany 0-1 Mexico Colombia 1-2 Japan

Sadly germany this year was a shadow of the 2014 team. My opinion is that the team was unbalanced and confuse. Özil , khedira boateng and müller were totally out of shape and Löw out of ideas how to get the team together. Since germany left now im a fan of croatia (im from albania so balcans) england will prove its worth now with stronger teams. Belgium i dont think they will go to the finals. Hopefully brazil wont go either. Dont wanna see neymar cry again 😋😋😋

England's only "difficult" team they face on the way to the semis is Colombia (Then Spain in the semis but both may be knocked out by then) As for Brazil, they've got Mexico (whose counter attacking style of play beat Germany) and the Belgium/Japan. I agree with you in not wanting to see Neymar cry again (He's a great player but a crybaby, did you see that flop against Costa Rica?) I will root for Japan in the knockouts (U.S. failed to qualify and I'm half Japanese)

Did Argentina get eliminated? No they play France in the Round of 16. That said, they qualified thanks to a late goal (86th minute) against Nigeria

As for germany again they were nowhere. Spain got it easy with russia but they will have to face croatia which is a balcan team and their mentality changes from game to game. I believe croatia will win as it jas the best midfieleders. If today both argentina and portugal win we get to see them play against each other so messi - ronaldo fans will go crazy 😊

So far France vs Argentina was the best match of this world cup. Argentina had no chance against france. My prediction france vs croatia in the final

I think France will get through the 'half of death' as long as Mbappé keeps putting in performances like his one against Argentina

Spain has an easy match against russia but its basically the same team since the last world cup only slower. I dont think spain will win against croatia in the next stage. As for france they have a lot of potential and if they manage to play more as a team they can win this one. England ? Has a very good team and id like to see them play against strong teams such as colombia and if they make it throu against switzerland/sweden and both have very different stules of football

My worry with russia is that both their wins were against teams that aren't world class (Saudi Arabia can't defend whatsoever and Egypt are over reliant on Salah, so I agree with you there. Whether or not Spain could beat Croatia/Denmark (if they beat Russia) would likely be decided in the midfield. England are looking very good, if they beat Colombia, then they shouldn't have too much to worry about. That said, the world cup has already brought a lot of surprises so expect more
