Good luck with the Crimean war buddy Even the first mission was hard, I barely 3 starred it. I didn't even bothered to 3 star it(almost got 3 star tho), just 2 starred it. It's really hard tho, need to plan the movement of your gens so they can be at the right place at the right time.

Ok, I finally understand how to get Bolivar to move his *Auto corrected* so he won't die and your troops won't suffer that double demoralization. At first, I thought simply capturing the 2 cities below would let you move Bolivar (note that I redid the mission so I can get screenshots), but for some reason this time I couldn't control him I was confused, after i captured the second city, nothing happened. But then at the end of turn 6, the lancer you see hanging around near my units killed itself by attacking my Blucher, and then then bolivar then said we can now focus all our forces to capture Valencia. After that, on turn 7, I can control him. So basically, the conditions needed for you to control bolivar is : 1.capture the 2 cities below. 2.defeat all units that spawned from that city Should be easy after that. Also, I recommend that you follow Bolivar's advice and defend the coast, so the elite light infantry can't land. Also, while you siege Valencia, some enemy cavalry and infantry will spawn around Valencia, so keep that it mind. After this mission, all the rest of the missions are easy. Louis Gabriel Suchet, you can finally finish this god forsaken mission

Also, aim to capture the 2 cities in around turn 5. Enemy reinforcements would arrive at around turn 7

Judicious use of forced marches and blasts are necessary. Thereโs a reason why the starting city has them. I finished in 11 turns. Speed is of the essence, for example I managed to take the bottom right city on turn one.

Thankfully this is the hardest mission of Gran Colombia. The others afterwards are considerably easier, even the final mission.

It's been awhile, what I can recall,is I took the 2 lower cities first, then moved ne and west to take those, counterclockwise fashion, Boliver gonna die,but he is not essential only the city he holds,ELTs come ,so quickly capture Valencia to finish the battle, thus avoiding the fort.

mm interesting example of a tough ew6 mission Welcome, Bing! Iโm surprised to see you around here. This is a great game. If you want to see it, here is a discussion about the hardest mission in the game. european-war-4.boards.net/thread/9923/siege

I just did this Mission and I think the reinforcements actually stopped. Presumeably when I killed the general, so I guess they fixed it! Impossible.
