I am new in this game and i have a question, the golden generals are the better generals in this game ? example: Kutuzov Moltke Bismarck Washigton Murat Davout Nelson The golden generals have the most skills. They have 5 skills, whereas purples have 4 skills. And it varies a lot honestly. For infantry, the gold generals make the purple generals pretty much irrelevant. For artillery, the purple generals are much better than the gold ones. I’d say the best starting general is Massena (gold infantry). |

For infantry i recommended Massena - Karl - Barclay
For artillery Mahmud Alexander Sophia Maria
For cavalry Murat- Davout- Dabrowski
For naval Nelson- Victoria - Sakurako

Best Artillery Generals is something like this, with Mahmud II tied with Sophia as the best artillery general, and belsford as the worst Sophia = Mahmud II > Kutuzov > Alexander I > Scharnhorst > everyone else *John would have equivalent to Kutuzov, but Sophia is a much better deal than John now* |

The best yellow general in the tier is usually better than the best purple, whoever, with Artillery, the best generals are found in the purple category. For navy, Nelson is the best, but buyig Victoria would be a lot smarter as she isn’t much worse than him but costs 850 medals and 50 roses. She is the second best naval general. For infantry, the following are really good Karl (very very good), Washington, Suvorov, Bolivar, Massena (very very good), Bolivar, Lannes (best price performer), *Garibaldi* (only for experienced players) - All gold except for Lannes. Gold > Purple -Avoid: Suchet, Bismarck and any other infantry general For cavarly, the following are really good: Murat (very very good), Davout (very very good), Lan (great price performer), Ney (a great starting cav general), Greene (same as Ney but cheaper), Dabrowski (worse than Murat), Durova (cheapest) - Davout and Murat are on a whole other level when compared to the purple generals. Gold > Purple -Avoid: Radetsky, Phillip, Cotton, Poniatowski, Sulkowski, Merveldt For artillery, the following are really good -Kutuzov, Sophia (very very good), Mahmud Ii (very very good), Alexander (very very good), Scharnhorst (cheaper version of Kutuzov), Ludwig (best price performer), Jourdan (free starts at 35% health), Maria (tactics master makes her very good) -The best generals are purples. Purple > Gold -Avoid: Moltke, Scott, Martin, Mortier, Belsford That should be a decent enough summary. The ones with very very good next to their names means they are the best in their class. |

(Regardless for price) Mahmud buffs the units around him with his artillery expert, he makes himself and the unitd around him do extra damage. A very good trait in this game. I’d say that alone makes him a better option |
