To jamesyang and EasyTech, Since some time, I have an idea that keeps bothering me: you should try get license from Disney and LucasFilm and make a Star Wars themed game. Since the 2014 retcon, there have been few games made in this genre, compared to the great variety until that point. Also, since the classic Star Wars Empire at War, there have been no new strategy games. Since you already have some experience in making strategy games, I propose this idea from a few reasons: 1. There is a great need for such a game. As I mentioned, there are no SW strategy games made in the last 10-15 years, so this idea would be refreshing on the market. 2. Such a game would be able to expand the lore by adding new unit types, battles and events, working as an expansion of the currently developing new canon. 3. If you get the rights for making a Star Wars game, your company would get a strong boost in fame and popularity, since there are numerous fans of the franchise. If made well, the game could make your company more known and would attract even more new players. 3. If us, the modders, managed to do this, why couldn't you? There is already a Star Wars mod made for World Conqueror 3 which changes all units, generals and conquests with elements of Star Wars. If the modders had the will to do this, why wouldn't you do the same. Personally, I do not see any any reason why this game would not have success and gain popularity if done right. For that, us, the Star Wars fans community and the EasyTech fans community in general are disposed to help you with whatever question you would have. I hope this idea would be taken into consideration. Cheers, and I can't wait for Great Conqueror Rome!

Seger , it may be indeed possible to be a flop if you mess up. But there really is a lack of strategy games on the franchise at the moment, so on the market they would not have so many competitors. There competition at the moment consists of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (which is mostly an RPG game owned by EA) and Star Wars Commander (the Clash of Clans copy that is not EA property). The rights for the game may be expensive, that's true, but it would be worth a shot. Just look at the WC3 Star Wars mod. With all limitations of WC3 and no money spent, we got quite a decent mod. How would you plan such a game if you were in EasyTech's shoes? Personally, I even started created a whole bunch of concept ideas for this game, from unit rosters to factions and missions. I even made a full roster for the Imperial Navy that combines elements from both Canon and Legends continuities - Frigates and corvettes: Vigil-class Corvette Raider-class Corvette Nebulon B frigate Acclamator II-class Assault Ship Imperial Escort Carrier - Cruisers: Tartan-class Cruiser Gozanti-class Cruiser Vindicator-class Cruiser Dreadnought-class Heavy Cruiser/Imperial Support Vessel - Interdictor ships: Immobiliser 418 Interdictor-class Star Destroyer - Carrier ships: Quasar-Fire Cruiser Gladiator-class Star Destroyer Secutor-class Star Destroyer - Star Destroyers: Procursator-class Star Destroyer Victory-class Star Destroyer (ship also avaible for the Galactic Republic) Imperial I Class Star Destroyer Imperial II Class Star Destroyer Tector-class Star Destroyer - Battlecruisers: Allegiance-class Battlecruiser Praetor Mark II class Battlecruiser - Dreadnoughts: Bellator-class Dreadnought Mandator II-class Dreadnought Assertor-class Dreadnought Executor-class Dreadnought Eclipse-class Dreadnought -Special weapons and space stations: Torpedo Sphere World Devastator Golan Platform Death Star DISCLAIMER! Many of these units would be avaible in the Galactic Conquest mode, the large variety of ships reminding of the old Star Wars Empire at War.

My question is are there enough players to buy such a concept and isn't there a bigger market for a WW1 game?

The rights for the game may be expensive, that's true, but it would be worth a shot. Sorry, but my first thought on reading the above line is that it's easy to say that when you don't know the cost and it's not your money that would be spent. I also suspect that working with Disney would come with all kinds of strings attached. Anyway, that said, I appreciate the thought you've put into something you're passionate about and I hope jamesyang provides you with a more knowledgeable and insightful answer on it's feasibility and likelihood, and I'll be very happy for you if they follow up on your idea.

I think you are right about these points. First of all, we should get the WW1 game. But I still have a question: would it have been easier for them to make such a game before Disney bought the franchise?

Finally a plan for a WW1 game. Please remember that I already created some sort of concept ideas in the eventuality of such a game, and I hope they would help you. european-war-4.boards.net/thread/8389/new-ww-1-themed-gameAs Count Dooku once said, "I have been looking forward for this"

Well, I believe that ET has the experience on how to make Trench Warfare realistic (play EW3 to know more). However, with the switch to their current map and play style, I'm interested in how it can be implemented now.
