Hey all, I figured since it we have a “worst” and “overrated / underrated” general’s list done, we really needed a list where everyone agrees a certain general is amazing. This in my opinion would be more helpful to a “noob.”
And sorry, Arminius doesn’t make the cut as some people don’t like him that much (never used him myself). Similarly, Huo also doesn’t make the list thanks to andrei 😂

Honorable mentions:
1. Huo: disliked by andrei and Lucius Vorenus
Reasons why he is good: good crit damage, good output, good defense, potentially very high critical rate.
2. Pacorus I: disliked by Lucius Vorenus and yuanzhong
Reasons why he is good: very cheap at 98 medals, cannot get rumored, always high damage, relatively high critical rate (always high morale is 10% critical chance vs 5% with non high morale), guerilla, and hybrid potential.
3. Drusus: disliked by andrei and dsongop
Reasons why he is good: inspire + all the benefits it brings (see pacorus i), general rank, lvl 8 archery possibility, good at defending cities when needed, hide (decent at archer vs archer combat, takes care of the counterattack flag)
4. Octavian: disliked by dsongop
Reasons why he is good: 2nd best archery general (for some 3rd due to Drusus), unlike mihridates vi is good at retaliation attacks and also has a perk making him great against cavalry. No useless skills.
5. Vercingetorix: not really disliked by anyone, but any of us think that he is simply either “average” or “good but not great category.”
Problems with vercingetorix: can’t attack twice, not as fast as Crassus or Pompey, mediocre talent, Pompey is typically seen as the superior general by most. Bato is his clone, faster and similar survivability, but deals less damage.
Reasons why he is good: great output (jungle + roar + lvl 9 infantry), great survivability, no useless skills/talent.
