Looking at the lvl 1 stats, I think that it would be best to give our generals unit guard (depends on which type), eagle cohort and holy damage. Then for the last 2 spots, riding master or defence formation or warship modification for cav/archer/navy. The others don't seem to do much.

Just imagine upgraded Golden Spear and Ganjing on your Commander. i tried it and ehhh welp Mithy with Ganjiang and Laurel still better than him Well, that means Mithridates is better than your Commander. |

One thing that troubles me though, is the difficulty of obtaining pure metal. Yeah, I can't seem to find any way to get it other than 2 in the proof of honour and some more in the arena rewards. You can't even buy it in the IAP store! |

I think I am understanding how the arena works. Seems we just deploy our generals, give legions to them until no points are left, and let the autobattle run.
I assume other players may face my account? I wonder if my account will use a random selection of my generals or it copies what I deploy in the arena battles.

I am not entirely sure that these are human accounts we face in there. |

It also seems that every general is bound to a certain unit and as rule of thumb, better units cost more honor points for each stack. I would rather want Vercingetorix on a legionnaire, though.
