Now that the “Count Challenge” no longer haunts us, I’m willing to get him next. Plan to make him a Hotzendorf 2.0 (Difference is that he will keep his Defense Formation) to make use of his very high base damage. hmm so ideally one should change all his skills to Hotzendorf's except for defense formation. Make him an anti army general. well should I place Artillery Commander on Hindenburg? Seems like I based Ivanov off Stoic's version and Hotzendorf seems full on offense

I did it to make him the aura general with defense formation and artillery commander. Although that makes it so you have to choose between those two as you can only put one medal. If I remember, they're adding a new cavalry general who has defense formation so choosing between medals may not matter as much.

I have just reset my Hindenburg's Land Fort skill and I think that I would like a better offensive skill.
Depending on the situation, I may use arty to actively pursue, attack or defend against enemies, likely alone.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
We have the usual Tactics Master (x% chance to attack twice), Inspiration, Counterattack, any terrain bonus skill, Arty Master (Increase crit strike) and Arty Commander (Aura), but also Suppress (x% chance to reduce defence by y% for z turns), Deterrence (x% chance to reduce atk by y% for z turns), Revenge (x% chance to counterattack twice) and Pierce (x% chance to ignore defence by y).

Does this allow arty aura to take priority over the other skills? Also considering that I frequently use my Ivanov and Hindenburg together, should I give Hindenburg Arty Commander?

You shouldn’t buy Milne only because he has commander, you can just put commander on a good arty general. Imo it’s good idea to give one of your arty gens commander because you will use them together, I gave it to Ivanov but it could also be Leopold or Hindenburg

I use him as a multi purpose general for his very high BA which I have him at 152
