He is the center of the main assult. Protected by infantry. If he dies, i basically restart! Haha. No it is not that bad. But very important Was thinking ivanov being the govorov, besseler being the aura, and hindenberg being the defense aura. That way all have a terrain bonus and tactics master I'm going to make them each their own.Beseler being the mobile destroyer,Ivanov the inspirer while Hindenburg the artillery shield. All equipped with TM essentially.

Post-terrain skill update revisionism:
Originally, Hindenburg requires 1 textbook to reset 1 less useful skill: Land fort. This can be traded for a better skill like Arty Commander which makes him the aura master in terms of defence and arty atk. Same goes for Beseler who just needs to replace PF with Arty Commander.
However, with the update, we now know that terrain skills grant a movement bonus. With this, Beseler one-ups Hindenburg right out of the bag, especially if you like speed and you're willing to trade defence for speed and a minor atk boost (MF dmg boost).
Additionally, hills and mountains do provide some protection, even if it's more limited compared to Hindenburg's aura.
Moreover, Besler has Tactics Master, which is a valuable offensive skill. As opposed to Hindenburg's Alert or defence aura.
Out of the bag alone, Beseler beats Hindenburg. Moreover, if you want speed, Hindenburg definitely loses out.
IMO, Hindenburg is strong, but I prefer some speed and Beseler's Tactics Master is a nice touch, so he get 4*.

Then again his defensive skills severe his purpose. Atleast they made him somewhat accurate.

My only concern is his utility as one of my favourite anti-arty, anti-ship and anti-fort arty gens since Alert's defensive buff is quite desirable.

Of course alert is a great skill. Especially on units that are targeted and can't bulid defensives like Artillery. I am surprised to hear that they made terrain give extra mobility; which is great for Artillery due to there slow speed.
