You can earn medal in campaign only by using suitable general attack manually. You can't get medal by auto although using right generals. (Spend 1 hour auto blitzkrieg and got 0 medal). You cant earn medal by using additional generals (try 70 times attack with Zhukov in Blitzkrieg and got 0 medal). With my current method, I can get 1 medal per minute. May be 1000 medals per day is possible. It was exactly the same in GoG and GoG Pacific. Only to replay missions manually. It was not only the most reliable source of medals, but the only one source of medals at all  |

It was more fruitful and we can earn them relatively larger amounts in both Conquest and Campaigns. The best way for auto farmer like me is Portugal first period conquest in EW6. Then the farming way in GOG and EW4, it's better than GOG 3 because they have save function and cavalry has 100% continue attacking when killing a unit. We can set up best situation for Calvary attack 6-10 times continuously, then save and repeat killing spree to earn medals. P/S: Beside my ultimate team in EW4 (full star, full general), I also have epic teams in GOG in my 2nd playing (German team: Goring, Manstein, Guderian, Rommel / Soviet team: Zhukov, Vasilevsky, Rokossovsky and Vatutin / Other team: Eisenhower, Yamamoto, Nimitz, Patton) without finishing any Campaign or Conquest map. |

Just wondering could air generals be good farmers? I mean they can attack alot depending on your economy and a really hard hitting air general can finish off loads of enemies your other gens could not kill and potentialy out class the medal grinding capabilities of someone like rommel or patton

I'm now tempted to buy kesselring because he will likely be featured in the western front and africa and buying him will greatly improved my blitzkrieg ggrinding(theoretically)my estimation is 10 medals per run(w kesselring) because my current gain is 5 medals per run(wo kesselring) |

So I don't think you can farm with Air attack - It's considered as unit attack, not general attack. And you don't need to kill unit to get medal, using right generals attack is enough. (I got about 6k medals only by farming blizkrieg so I'm sure about this). |

So I don't think you can farm with Air attack - It's considered as unit attack, not general attack. And you don't need to kill unit to get medal, using right generals attack is enough. (I got about 6k medals only by farming blizkrieg so I'm sure about this). Yeah I just tried it out myself suffice to say I was pretty disappointed  |

If you can farm 2 badges per on average 7,5 minutes, then that is approx. 15 badges/hour, so 75 medals. If you can farm medals faster, then obviously, repeating conquests isn't worthwhile.
Playing the conquests for the first time however gives much better rewards

One day you will say "enough is enough" and stop playing. I personally play only those missions for farming that I like and find complex and interesting, even if it means lees medals per hour. We have to enjoy the process to be really successful in ET games. |
