I have played a bit into the game and I have not yet see anyway to steadily earn resources (medals, knight badges, assault badges) for F2P players (like missions from the previous titles). As far as I see now, all the rewards are only one time so that basically means we need to rely on the ads and the two decoration medals that we got from pre-registration. So is there anything that I still miss out?

But this time, you need to attack enemies with recommended generals of that theater. So for 1939 Western Front Axis, you'd use Bock, Messe, Mainstein, Donitz, Guderian, Kesselring, Badoglio or Leeb to grind medals in campaign missions. But I have not found a way to grind badges so far.

To me, Army groups in GOG3 is a combination of GOG1, EW6, WC1945 and Hearts of Iron 4.

So, how many and how frequent do we get medals from this?

I do not know the exact numbers or the exact trigger for this. You get one medal from attacking enemies (though it might only trigger when you kill a unit, but a single enemy can now consist of up to 4 units). If the latter, it is possible to actually get 4 medals from killing a single enemy, if it is a 4-stacked infantry unit with a general (only infantry commanded by a general can be 4 units) and if you are very, very lucky. Though it does seem to happen a bit more often then with GOG1, but not much more often.

If it is about the number of kills then it also looks like tank generals have edge on this kind of thing.

But when it triggers, a message saying "+1 medal" will appear on the enemy unit. Yes tank generals seem te way to go. Since Germany has the most and strongest german tanks the teathers "1939 Western Front" and "1941 Eastern Front" as the axis are probably the best ones to grind medals. In the first you got Bock, Messe, Guderian and (if you have bought him for €7.99) Manstein with atleast 2 medals (stars are replaced with medals) in tanks. The second front has Bock, Model, Guderian and Manstein.

The most reliable way to earn medals is to buy that “Victory Medal” which costs 10.90 BRL ($1.99 or $2.99 probably) and gives you 398 medals instantly along with 50 daily. Replaying missions already 3-starred doesn’t look to give you any resources.

You can earn medal in campaign only by using suitable general attack manually. You can't get medal by auto although using right generals. (Spend 1 hour auto blitzkrieg and got 0 medal). You cant earn medal by using additional generals (try 70 times attack with Zhukov in Blitzkrieg and got 0 medal). With my current method, I can get 1 medal per minute. May be 1000 medals per day is possible.
