France, no if and or but, it held of against the strongest assaults of the Germans and have suffered such damage to their territory that some places haven't even recovered to this day. There are still casualties mounting from this war because French farmers keep on hitting dug up artillery shells

There are still casualties mounting from this war because French farmers keep on hitting dug up artillery shells France did most fighting 2 important fronts of ww1- Macedonian (knocked Bulgaria and Ottomans out) and Western (Germans). Militarily France was the MVP of Entente.

It's a close one between Britain and France, since France had more forces against the Germans, while the British had more forces against the Ottomans. I'm going to go with Britain because after 1916, France became more reliant on Britain to support their war effort. The French were running out of credit and resources, so the British had to pick up the slack for them.

Ottomans were mostly to distract Entente and Britain's successes only started after Arab Revolt began Sabotaging Ottoman war effort. While victory on Macedonian front could much easily forced Ottomans out of the war and that it did. Still Britain played important role overall but France will be militarily.

I see the British as the mvp for playing support. Britain tried to help Russia by forcing the Ottomans to fight on multiple fronts. Britain helped France not just with ground forces, but also picked up the slack in credit and resources, as I said earlier.

Well of course, Britain had an ulterior motive. But, the whole point of beating the Ottomans was that it would allow the Entente to supply Russia through the Dardanelles.

They supplied it through Arkangelsk though not in winter because of icebergs.

They supplied it through Arkangelsk though not in winter because of icebergs. That's why they wanted to supply Russia through a warm-water port.

1. Economic Superpower 2. Was involved in all major fronts except the Eastern Front, and even there it provided huge financial aid. Biggest Power on the Western Front. 3. German Blockade.

It was involved on Italian and Macedonian fronts also but so were Italians and French who did the most heavy lifting on those fronts respectively. On Western Front, it never actually surpassed French contribution and even at peak of British army, French were equal to them. 3. It didn't even show any serious effect on Germany till November 1916 and its all effects would have been reduced by 1919 (due to Victory on Eastern front) if Germany was able to continue the fight but it was defeated earlier which was mainly because of Blockade but it wasn't able to reduce German power till 1916 by which time Germany has destroyed the Russian army and increased the chances of German Victory greatly and Germany was defeated in Western in battle tactically (by the British) and Austria was halted at Piave river by Italians. Bulgaria was overrun by an combined allied force mainly comprising of French, which also brought Istanbul in very vulnerable situation and caused the ottoman surrender. Britain played most important overall but it didn't do everything.
