That's why I like Patton more.
Once I stopped playing some time ago, Rokossovsky was the meth of the allies, and from the axis side words were spoken, that Rommel is best non-IAP tank general.
Guderian is the real meth, and Govorov the light one

Patton is no guderian, but he is probably the best tank option for allies. He is fast, durable and deals considerable dmg. All other alternatives fall behind: Timoshenko - only on snow Vatutin - too slow Monty - just no Why is Monty "just no"? Don't you have a real reason to dislike him? Ace Force is a very bad skill imo. I consider Monty a 2 skill gen and 2 skill gen wont have any value when you reach endgame. |

Is Halsey and Nimitz bad because they have ace forces? No. You can't just judge a general based on one skill; You must take into account all the stats and skills. As I've said before, I personally don't like Roko because he has +15 damage against non-tank enemies and his machinist is only 25%. Monty has +20 and 50% machinist. 5 more damage matters when you are doing extra attacks. 25% machinist doesn't heal enough in my opinion. |

Is Halsey and Nimitz bad because they have ace forces? No. You can't just judge a general based on one skill; You must take into account all the stats and skills. As I've said before, I personally don't like Roko because he has +15 damage against non-tank enemies and his machinist is only 25%. Monty has +20 and 50% machinist. 5 more damage matters when you are doing extra attacks. 25% machinist doesn't heal enough in my opinion. There are some occasions where I got roko fire 5-6 shots in a row with kv-6 and he takes 0 damage. When roko ends the barrage I just send patton as a knight which ends in total annihilation of the AI. I dislike monty because he lacks in damage somehow. If he had a gold ToI then monty would have been the best allied tank gen but no, he has ace forces instead. To sum, anti-armor combined with PL is the reason I like roko. Note: Due to medal saving auto-save function I tried monty in some campaigns but I just found his damage low against armored stuff. |

It wasn't a decision of preference, rather I just needed a gen for Operations Vulcan and I didn't have enough medals for Monty and I don't like Vatutin. NO REGRETS. Roko is a beast. His PL can be inconsistent but when it does trigger it tends to be CLUTCH. I kid you not I got 8 CONSECUTIVE HITS in Operation Kutuzov! (perfect clear attempt). Only issue is he's only good on heavies, but I always have Timo and Leclerc/Alexander. But hey, If you like Monty or Vat or whoever else better than that's fine. I understand. Everyone has different preferences. I just like Roko better. |
