Nikolaevich is best cav. Every terrain skill plus defense formations. You can't catch him flatflooted.

Yeah, for real though, stonewall and Ludendorff are the top 2 best. But stonewall is better because he's free

But stonewall is better because he's free Stonewall at max level has +39% damage, with Browning, it reaches up to +49% (Luger +50%). Ludendorff at max level has +44% damage (Browning +54%), with Luger P08 pistol it becomes +55%. Nikolaevich tho, has only 23% dmg max level, give him any damage item and he still won't be able to hit as hard as the other two, but he is still an emprah, so he can be built to be the most durable tank general, which I believe is the only way for him. Give him defense formations medal, Adrian Helmet/Prussian helmet plus ambulance and he can fill the role of main tank. He still dies on a horse, but that's probably cause mine is still a Duke with only lvl 4 defense formations. According to my calculations tho, when maxed and sitting on a tank, he is nigh-unkillable. |

So basically all f2p players' favourite is stonewall Jackson for being free and best stats among Non-IAPs.

Just don't waste your money on cav generals. Stonewall and Sheridan are decent enough to get by in campaign, but in conquest they might get wiped out early.
I mostly use infantry/arty generals since they can deal way more damage.
