And how about Gamlin as a Carrier commander Definetely a no no if you have an air general. But...economics... Well, I don't have, but it is definitely an interesting solution of economic problems. Carriers have a long range attack, so Gamlin can fight all the time without leaving ports or oil fields.

That's it. I completed the game! First, I perfectly cleared all campaigns Then my choice was between Nagumo and Dowding to complete remaining elite battles. I decided that Nagumo is probably better for this specific task. And my expectations were justified. I reinstalled the game on August 11, so I completed it in less than a month. So, the name of this thread is not misleading Thanks for reading Now I can concentrate all my efforts on completing EW5, and hopefully Iron Duke won't crush me with his left hand

Updated the game today and completed the "Desert storm" well ahead of time without even adjusting my strategy. I may be wrong, and there is a hard nut to crack somewhere, but new "elite" battles don't seem to be challenging taking into account that I don't have a fully upgraded tech tree and none of my generals is fully promoted to 4*.

Well, both of African campaigns are rather easy, I would say... The most difficult task in the battle of El-Alamein is to find Kesselring - our last target. Since our reinforcements are trash at at beginning, just try to keep your tanks and heavy artillery generals alive and you should be fine. Italians in the south are obviously the weak chain, so best of all to knock them out first.

The battle of Italy is actually a modified version of "Italian campaign". All landings are a nightmare for our allies, so don't expect they will help much. Nonetheless if the central part and Foggia are occupied on time the rest is a technical win.

Well, all of us don't have such tactical brains like you have so it might be tough or easy depending on their strategy

We just need to move alongside the shoreline eliminating our targets one by one.

I don't like Army groups mode I suggested regular conquest, but no-one seems to be interested How come? The AG mode seems great! I personally don't think so. It is a slight improvement of EW5 conquests with still boring 6 vs. 6 fights on a narrow battlefield. It could potentially be great if we had at least 20 units on each side. Besides, I don't think that spamming weak infantry units and sending them to different directions is a synonym of fun. I like the concept and some new ideas, but I don't like this realisation at all.
