Im a beginner, currently have 900 gold, I’m stuck in conquering German so I’m planning to buy a cab general. Belisarius is cheaper and he’s skill seems to be better. But I love Anthony’s mobility. He’s very fast. Wondering who should I choose

Belisarius is better for caimpaign, decicive battle and expedition, while Anthony is better in conquests.

I would say Belisarius is better even in Conquests with his talent and CavCom.

Belisarius is definitely the most accomplished cavalry general so far. Very useful in every possible situation. Anthony is a niche general with one completely useless skill without any chance to increase his crit.chance/crit.damage significantly.

I wouldn't say Breakthrough is completely useless, it can be used actually very often if you build fortifications, but yeah, Belisarius is way better.

I don't quite understand how it is connected to our fortifications. It ignores trenches on enemy's tiles, and AI haven't ever built anything. Neither do AI's units stay on those tiles for long even if there are such fortifications already built. A completely useless skill in my opinion....

It would be very good skill for example that formation, marksman, breakthrough ignore enemy fortifications and city defense while attacking enemy units. In these conditions, those 3 skills are usseles.

When I build a huge amount of fortifications, the enemy will always walk into them at some point. Since I prefer all of us saving lives, I do build fortifications, so I like to have at least one gen that can avoid them. Of course, it is a bad skill, but not completely useless. I would prefer a gen with this to a gen with no other skills *cough* Commius *cough*.

Commius is a wrecking Ball, take that back😀 I don't disagree with that, I dislike Commius primarily because he is but a Chiliarch, and because he is Pacorus with Siege and an extra star for 210 medals more, wholly not worth it.

Medals are not an issue any more, because you can farm 200 medals per day in lvl 30 senat, so cost efectiveness is not an argument any more.

So, you build fortifications for AI basically, and then try to avoid them And therefore it is not a bad skill, isn't it? Sorry, but I can't say it is a convincing argument in favour of a completely useless skill

Yes, Belisarius is the best, only I can not strengthen his skills, since they were removed from the store ...

Yes, all of his skills are very useful. That makes him a very versatile general in every possible situation.
