Good day friends, I would like to ask your opinion regarding the main commander because it is making it difficult for me to do a little more campaigns without having skills, that is why I wanted to ask you, what would be the best option to transform my general? I want it to be good at conquest and campaigning, to be a killing machine and to be useful. I only have 1 general and it is archery

lamhpolo, If you want a killing machine as you asked for then it is better as a cavalry because it has 60% to attack again after destroyeng enemy units, in short you will attack more often as a cavalry than as an infantry.

Thanks -w- 10 days late, but Commander is slightly more mobile than other highly recommended cav commanders, except for Antony. This is why I didn't equip him with March. I picked Guerilla instead just to improve his survivability by a small margin. There is a thread on other viable builds, including that of Archer and Inf Commanders as well as hybrid builds. Some are based on the player's needs, some on preference. You can take a look and glance at their justifications if it helps. european-war-4.boards.net/thread/11487/commander-buildseuropean-war-4.boards.net/thread/11208/kind-unit-make-free-commander

I also recommend to take a cavalry path, but my Commander is more suited for pitched battles rather than sieges, because that what we are doing most of the time. Terrain bonuses and additional damage against infantry are useful at taking cities too, but these skills are more versatile in nature, in my opinion.

Cavlary path is probably better, but in my case Hannibal and Belisarius are suficient for cavlary hit team in campaigns.

That's a good commander, but Pompey, Crassus and Vercingetorix can handle infantry just fine. Then again Belisarius and Antonius can handle cavalry. Guess it comes down to preference, and the only reason i went cavalry is due to conquest.
