Official thread for the group. The purpose of the group is to review guides, edit old guides or make new guides. Most of the forums, especially for old games like WC3 and EW4 don't have an updated library, and even tho the interest for the old games in this forum is low, there would still be new players that would play those games and would be looking for guides to help them.
Goals of the group
1. Keeping guides up to date
2. Completing guides for every campaigns, conquests and other modes in different E.T games
3. Keeping tabs on conquest records and other special records
4. Discuss about strategies in different E.T games, along with strategies that were put in guides to make the guides more streamlined and efficient
This is where you post your qualifications for the joining the group. When wanting to join, just click profile, go to groups, then send a request to join for Guide editors. I'll review if you qualify or not, and add you based on it or not.
The requirements for joining are a follows:
1. Willing to review/make a guide.
2. Active for atleast 1 day a week in the forum.
3. Has completed atleast 2 Easytech games. 4. Knows about logical and cognitive biases.
5. Should atleast have more than 1000 posts, and most of those posts should be related to Easytech games.
For the first point, it's an either/or situation. Either you review a guide, or make a guide. It's the very reason why the group exists. Second point is to know how active you are in the group. Third point is to know how good you are in the games in general, although i'm a bit more lenient in the number of E.T games. Finishing EW4 and WC3 is more valuable, as the interest in those games, atleast in the forum isn't too high, therefore the guides there would be mostly outdated or needs reviewing. Fourth point is pretty much to understand the basics of debate and how/why the creator of the guide made a mistake in judgement. Arguing why the guide is better and showing why the guide works is needed, and understanding and explaining why someone made an erroneous explanation and correcting them is needed. For the fifth point, it's the same with the second point, although it's more on the participation directly.
You don't have to check out on all of the requirements. The most important ones are point 1, point 3 and 4. The important thing as well are the reasons for those requirements, and even if you don't pass the written requirement,as long as you satisfy the reasons for those requirements then you can move on.
After passing the initial requirements, you'll then be required to review a guide that the group members would pick, and write here how the guide could be improved. If the write-up is satisfactory, you're in.
As you may have noticed, the requirements to join are more difficult compared to most groups, but the reason is simply to make sure that the guides would be as useful as they can be. For current members, don't worry, it won't be too stressful. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Anyways, if you have experience in more than one ET game, you fulfill criteria 2 right? So why not try EW4?

I'd say GoG3 is pretty easy for the likes of your brains. EW4 is a bit more harder and is more challenging (And fun too!)

Deleted, since the criteria doesn't seem to be so strict, I guess I will apply. I just fail number 3, but I can reapplu after completing GOG3 and GCR, if I'm not accepted right away. Also, can't be sure about number 4 . Here's my guide, it's nit ready yet, but I plan to complete it in the 2 upcoming weeks and although pretty subjective, alright I guess and admitting it kind of makes me pass the 4th criteria. european-war-4.boards.net/thread/16460/personal-rating-ranking-all-generals

Tag me so I can see what you did .

Doesn't have to be complex, just a simple one and explain your reasoning why.

Lucklife , too bad, your guides for are pretty good. Aww thanks for the compliment. If you need help in remaking GOG3 after the EW and WC, feel free to contact me. Somewhat along the lines of attached personnel for that forum I suppose.

Somewhat along the lines of attached personnel for that forum I suppose. Of course. Since GoG3 seems to be active, there isn't too much demand for any guide updates or rewrites. In making new guides, since you're a member of scholars, I don't need to request you anything for you to make them
