If Genghis had cav commander, he'll be up there. He's great with bottle of life, but so is every other general. He has bravery, but do does Suri. Basically, he's like Washington,if Washington didn't have effective damage against everything and logistics. Great thanks to his stats, but in terms of team contribution, he's replaceable. Attila can do what he does, and he costs less. I would say this: genghis is artifact reliant, while suri is item set reliant. Still need to keep her hp up, as her def is fine with inspiration, and atk is enough once her cav commander is up. But not as reliant as Genghis with Bottle of life. It's basically an argument between replaceability, cost, price performance, stats, skillset, individual performance and team performance. And the fact that Genghis only wins in stats and individual performance is why he's lower than Suri. The fact that Suri's skillset competes with Genghis stats is something. And even in individual performance, she's close thanks to cavalry commander and inspiration bumping up her combat stats. If the game is more single unit focused and stat matter much more, Genghis would have been better. But this is EW5, where team contribution matters more, and a single debuff can cripple your main carry if you try going solo in a difficult mission. I say that he's Attila-lite because both have Braveness, both have a purple stat skill, and both have great stats, just that Genghis' active is "Meh?" Bottle of life will fix that, but that's a negative for him. Basically better Hannibal, but they kill infantry great so their rage regen is great.

He wipe infantry off the map, but that's his only trick, as Attila has his Hussar skill (still good) and many Awakened generals have Strafe.

Now it's time for Convoluted Logic With Gerdy! The part of the show where Gerdy comes out and does some Convoluted Logic.
Imagine you are a player who has the Bottle of Life and doesn't want to get other IAP gens. Well, we have some guidelines:
- Should be cavalry, so you can get the quickest rage refill.
- Should have at least purple level stats, to be able to kill things. This knocks out Edward, Hannibal, Shingen, and the greys.
- Should not have a necessary first skill. Otherwise, It is wasted when Bottle of Life is placed. Knocks out Asoka, Suri, Attila, and Bluecher.
- Saladin, Charlemagne, and Suleiman remain.
- Healing skills like Logistics or Cure Master are not as required because the gen should be able to heal themselves easily anyway. Knocks out Saladin, who essentially is Charlemagne with Logistics instead of Shelter.
Charlemagne vs. Suleiman
Well, I don't think debuffs are important for the carrier, as they should be trying to kill weaker units instead of attacking major threats. Rumor becomes mediocre. Suleiman's stats are better, and I prefer Cover to Shelter + Shield. So Suleiman gets it? I don't think so. I like to put Aegis on Suleiman so that he becomes unkillable, and he gets to use his Rumor in the meantime rather than carrying the burden of having to play medic for his team. This way, the stronger one gets even stronger, while the second option gets an excellent niche. And what of Saladin? Why, he gets Gugnir of course! And Charlemagne is plenty durable and powerful enough to carry it and consistently activate it.
Too long, didn't read:
When it comes to Bottle of Life, Charlemagne OP.
This has been Convoluted Logic with Gerdy, tuning in next time to hear: James Wolfe is better than Washington.

That said, Hannibal can kill infantry, so rage regen shouldn't be a problem. But side from that, top tier shitpost guide.
