I've bought Justinian but I've been noticing the lack of power my current general lineup has so I'm looking to getting a dedicated cavalry general since they have he highest output with charge. Basil and Roland look appealing to me atm, any suggestions? I already have Alfred btw.

Before you make your decision just buy Totila. He is an excellent bronze tier cavalry general. That's how I discovered the power of the Outburst Totila's Outburst is on 3 turns cooldown, so that he just smashes opponents when needed. I tested it and Outburst is better than other attacks. Unless you have a 100% probability of charge (unachievable for most f2p players) Outburst is a cavalry skill number one. Headhunting of Guiscard (a silver tier Crusader) Vs. Outburst of Totila (bronze tier) Guiscard Totila Unfortunately it is not that clear because of an icon of "charge". But it is 480-490 damage points.

Because of that I personally think that Simeon who has both Outburst and 12% increase of charge in general is a fair rival to both Basil and Roland

Because of that I personally think that Simeon who has both Outburst and 12% increase of charge in general is a fair rival to both Basil and Roland outburst is more of an viking infantry general skill, not cav because charge cav already has high charge %, vikings don't. Simeon has low damage when not using outburst. you can only get 18 points when you max his title to general, if you put that on cav it would be only 41, and giving him a +15 item would take him to 56. whereas roland can get to 100, basil has 70, and alfred has 76. All of these generals have skills that increase cav damage but simeon doesn't. Also alfred and roland both have unique items giving them 30%. If they switched simeon's cav and infantry points so he has 36 cav points at the start, he would be worth getting.

Higher charge rate doesn't mean a guaranteed charge of all 3 cavalry units every three turns. Simeon's damage can't be lower even if he doesn't use Outburst, for he activates charge even without Outburst more often, because of his Mobility. He will deliver higher damage by 12 percent more often than generals without Mobility.

Plus it is possible to give Simeon Richard's banner increasing thus his damage and cavalry points even further.

I got richard so i won't do that anyway. Simeon is just weak

Not Mobility, of course, but Cavalry expert.

I probably wouldn't do it too if I had Richard, but I don't. And therefore it is a very good option to give Richard's weapon to Simeon. Simeon is just strong

To put my money on it If you look closely he’s just Totila with a fake beard and a bunch of steroids.
