For developing the territory depends on the answer to the question whether it will provide bonuses for other game modes or not. Like as I can see we can build some Wonders with battle effects. But I don't understand why do we need Wonders for naval battles in case territory mode is not naval at all. Is this question resolved? Whether the bonuses are going to be global? Hmm... It is indeed an interesting observation. So far I thought it won't give us universal bonuses since we will lose all our buildings when this tournament is over.

No, I have built one archer tower today in the morning just to check what is it. Let's see in the evening whether someone will attack me. I personally pick weaker enemies not to lose these precious 4 points per fight as there is no any difference what is the power of the opponent Which is of course strange) And I'ld also prefer to receive points in case I win when defending otherwise stimulus to develop the defence buildings is quite weak Triumphs rewards are lower than the resources You need to spend in order to receive it. I don't think it is good game design.

Turret is cannon tower which deal AoE and smaller damage than Archer tower (ex: lvl 5 turret takes 20% hp and lvl 5 archer tower take 25%). You meet them in Baldwin hero legend.

The funny thing, it is almost impossible to avoid to build different facilities, and simply to beat easy opponents. With every rank there won't be easy opponents with undeveloped cities and underpowered legions any more.

If most players do this, there will be more chances to win, especially for f2p.

But after several easy victories he inevitably will climb up the ladder and our rivals will have great defensive installations and a couple of more generals. Each battle will be more exhausting and time consuming, with a result far from guaranteed. So, sooner or later we will be struggling even with getting daily rewards. At silver tier I don't have easy opponents with one or two generals anymore. I have to upgrade buildings just to remain competitive. And I see that majority of players actually strengthen their defense, so, until we sign a common manifest not to build defensive structures , we simply will lose more times than we win. But even those rare wins will move us forward until one day we can't win a single fight. A vicious circle...

We get 2 coins even if our opponent is as tough as nails. Maybe the situation will be different after unlocking upper tiers, but now it is so.
4 points, 1000 gold, 2 coins.
