Bittrich looks cool. 15% resource reduction for air strikes? Deals 22(+15 on mountain) damage as infantry? Lvl 2 Ace forces? He looks a suitable infantry/air general to me. Cheaper than Kesselring at M General. The richer you are, the better Bittrich is. He's a bit complicated so I'll come back to it later. I kinda know what his purpose is. He is your endgame conquest general that bombs the cities.

Hired Bittrich. I deployed him on a Motorized Infantry in Break Through Encirclement 7, pitted him against Cmdr. Soviet while on a mountain tile for five restarts. He deals 61.6 damage (64,61,65,55,63) on average compared to Custom General on plain (3 stars infantry, 3 Plain Fighting) with 57.2 (49,58,64,48,67). Custom general 16 + 15 = 31 on plains. Bittrich 16+15+6 = 37 on mountain. Both have Lvl 2 Ace Forces. Infantry tech 5. I think he could be a good alternative to Vasilevsky and Konev, considering that he is not just for infantry, but also for air, and one of the greatest for that role. He is basically a better and a bit cheaper Kesselring.

Would the skill reduced cost for air attacks be a competitor for the 5th slot on one of the artillery ECs? (if it becomes available and we can reset single skills) And does it also reduce missile prices?

So we are getting a new military campaign chapter.

Be interesting to see what rewards it offers. Wonder if they'll release any new medals?

I have just reinstalled the game. Is this operation mode a way to grind medals repeatedly?

I have tested Bittrich for missile launching and unfortunately he does not influence the price of a missile.

If his skills only work for planes then it's harder to beat the 5* air generals.

I am starting to think if I should keep him or not. But I find him satisfying as an infantry commander, but Schorner is better than him in terms of infantry, but Bittrich is also an air force general.

I have just reinstalled the game. Is this operation mode a way to grind medals repeatedly? Yes, if you mean the item-medals. We have one free repeat per day and two more in exchange for currency-medals. For the latter, we get 30+10+10 from daily log-in and watching ads. More can be gotten by completing orange missions and good old wonder farming.

Full(er) preview of the new update dropped. From what I can see that's new: - Wittman's new skills are called "Breakout" and "Ace Armour". Lvl3 of each, and he has lvl4 Anti-Armour and Lvl3 Explosives. Only starts at +80 HP, though.
- The new Defence Medal is confirmed 5% per level, and has 9 possible skills
- ECs can learn Desparate, Organisation and a skill called Early Warning. Not sure of the price.
- ECs can have individual skills reset instead of the full array. Very useful, especially given the point above.
- Some skills and medals are having their "attribute values optimised", whatever that means. Hopefully buffs to weak skills rather than nerfs.
- Fortifications are getting AP. Might give them some use in alien conquests.
- Although it's not in this update, there are plans for conquest diplomacy options, as well as "challenge conquests" and related achievements.

This sounds AMAZING especially the possible conquest updates! Where is the news coming from?

It's from a mod post on the official ET discord, which linked to a tweet from ET's twitter account. It's legit.

The skills and medals buffed are mostly related to crit. Horton's Early Warning is now a reduction against everything. The 3 new skills can be unlocked from the new operation, all 3 in easy mode. Sounds like all of them are super expensive though.
