He's also a pain to kill due to his defence medals I went for Goering last. The route I took was Munich - Nuremburg, then leave one general behind to deal with Schorner. Everyone else goes to Frankfurt - Cologne - Dortmund - Hamburg - Berlin. Try not to spawn infantries because Goering can one-shot them and then paratroop your city. Try to go for armoured cars instead.

He's also a pain to kill due to his defence medals What is your general composition and medal loadouts? Also I think Hartmann is more dangerous than Goring because of his air raids ignore AA. Oh that's true. Got an almost maxed out tank ec with expropriation level2. Guderian, Patton, Rommel, gororov, artillery ec not max but better than gororov and Goering. I have level 4 artillery medals for my 2 arty gen. Combo for ex. Level 4 tank medal for Guderian and he has level 3 medal for defence.

I see seven generals in your composition but no Sansonetti, did you bought Zhukov to deploy all of them or just six of them was actually used? If it’s the former case then you should use Zhukov instead of Rommel, if not just sell Rommel and build a second artillery EC.

The last EC should be tank or infantry.

You guys are gonna be in for a mean surprise when you use 4 tank generals and they all die within the first 10 rounds of a 1960 challenge lol

I like the idea of an infantry EC because organization's pretty cool, but right now I think it still needs one more skill (say Bittrich's air discount or something) to be really viable. Since units usually take about 140 nuke damage in a city a high enough hp should be enough to survive even a constant barrage. But not gonna lie I was doing challenge Germany 1960 and my Guderian got killed (on open terrain nonetheless) by what was probably the last ussr nuke in the conquest.

Without Organization the general can probably survive around 3 nukes, but Organization can help him survive a lot more. I guess you are not into making your EC a non-IAP Eisenhower. Neither am I. Just give him the 3 key skills and he's pretty much good on everything.

I suggest a 2nd artillery is because in most cases deploying 4 tanks (super tanks in challenge conquests and heavy tanks in hard operations) is quite a luxury while 3 FAs or rockets are more common. On the other hand, an infantry EC is a big no to me, as pure infantry is inferior in hp and dmg to tanks and in range to artillery, also tank and artillery ECs share 4 common skills which allow them to step up to super Crerar build, but infantry EC can’t do that well.

Right now the more common lineup for me in operations is 3 tanks, 2 artillery, and 1 infantry. The role of third artillery has be diminishing and it might not even be worth it to have a dedicated general for it, let alone EC. Infantry EC doesn't necessarily conflict with tank/artillery either, depending on the skill set. If you try to build a second Eisenhower then yes, but not if it's super Crerar with Organization.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I suppose infantry EC need Raider on top of Organization, which leaves only 3 slots for common skills that are usable when commanding tank or artillery. So how is infantry EC not conflict with tank/artillery while one among Explosives, Plain Fighting and Inspiration has to give way to Raider? Also I don’t see how infantry EC commanding MI or Commando best at least tank EC commanding armored car when performing the role of an air general, so why infantry air EC when tank air or even super crerar with air EC can work at least equal? P.S. My 3 ECs are very old build topped up to Super Crerar and then to Eisenhower build and I can tell you that I hardly use infantry ability unless being forced to (e.g. Operation Blitz Belgrade), and I even cleared a challenge conquest 1960 run (Portugal) using all 3 ECs on rockets beelining toward Khabarovsk from Pacific Ocean without being nuke (field marshal EC with lvl 5 legion medal on rocket has 495hp, so it was very easy to tell if they got nuked, especially when not SAM protected).

You don't have to have Raider. As far as I know, Organization is all you need for a damage-oriented build. Tank EC cannot beat infantry EC as air general in 2 aspects: movement speed and regen speed. Armored car is still subject to terrain influence and will be inevitably slower than MI, and commando has 10 grid starting advantage from paratrooping. Organization can also help surviving more nukes.

The new operations are difficult. Although all my generals are nearly max with lvl4 medals, the enemies still kills my generals like flies. On Overlord, on Hard especially, do NOT take cities with generals unless you have enough cash stockpiled for a lot of air hits. Similarly do not try spawning top units until Hartmann is gone and Goering leaves Berlin. Note if you max out levels for all units to get big movement, it makes this a lot easier. If you have any level four combo medals, this would be the level to use them on smartly. And Konev’s % hit again works very well if you can somehow afford top level artillery. Ideally you want max tank and artillery, and then three strong tank and three strong artillery generals here, with one having combo in the set, and one having assault. The other tank should have assault and the other artillery should have defense. When you take a city and have enough money, consider the second turn to open up an infantry general if the hit is major on the landing (doesn’t happen with Hartmann). I strongly recommend Air Force medals combined with assault here to deal with the stronger HP of the Germans, also if reserving another general, the legion medal stacks well on infantry in this mission combined with organization. Note a general with desperate (here’s looking at you, Sikorsk) would do really well on the field artillery piece. Also this mission rewards promotions to marshal. A lot of the new generals are low HP, so they’re all dead after two hits from Goering (which is why it’s pointless to capture cities with them, Goering and Hartmann go after them, and they’ll be killed by the super tanks in a weakened state anyway. Berlin’s easy in the sense you know if you’ve won by turn five, and if you screwed up or got unlucky (again combo medals) you can always restart.
