Is lvl 5 of Woad Raiders' talent worth upgrading. It sounds interesting and has a legion effect, but I am not sure I understand its description. It literally says it decreases the damage of both detour and charge (not the probability which could be logical). But when our troops attack neither detour nor charge are triggered. So, I don't quite understand the mechanics... I think Woad Raider's attack decreases the enemy's DMG of charge and detour. I don't quite understand then... When this damage is reduced? Next turn, indefinitely, to this particular legion or to any friendly unit 🤔 ? Let's suppose we attacked a cavalry legion two times. When it is AI's turn it attacks another legion (not the one that attacked). Does this mean this another legion receives 10% less damage from charge/detour than normal?

Yes, your another legion will still receive less damage from the enemy's charge and detour in that turn. Luckily, Woad Raider can attack three times, it will reduce max 15% the damage.

Legion Brigade LV5 Talent + Scottish Long Spearman LV5 Talent + Kheshig + Rapid March = Insane mobility. Unfortunately I don't have enough resources to implement this plan, but I think this would be a very interesting and fun combination for Conquest and some missions.

First, it is relatively easy to upgrade talents of Woad Raiders to lvl 5. It is doubtful that I'll be able to do the same with MR in any near future. Second, my MR are lvl 10 and WR have better stats at the moment in every department with dodge as a single exception. Third, two gems (red and yellow) allow us to increase the damage output of legions with WR by 10%. Forth, Mountains climbing is still worth to have on many maps, including Balkans. And, finally, talent of WR lvl 5 unlocks a new legion effect (whatever it may be ). I personally will replace WR with MR only when I fully upgrade the talent of MR.

I understand your points, and all of this made sense before talent system. Right now, 5lvl MR give you an additional 1-2 attack most of the time (legion with MR may attack 4-5 times) No matter which level your MR are, if there are 2 strong units in the legion it’ll be still better than without MR. For those, who don’t really understand the skill: +2 mobility is after EACH dodge in the legion, it may be +2 +4 or +6 per turn.

Yeah, the only thing that remains is to unlock it I am not sure that I have enough resources to do it in any observable future. I don't doubt it is great but it will take some time to get it, especially for f2p players.

Just finish new conquest (without challenge) and new treasure legend (in normal mode)

You can definitely focus on MR only as a f2p and bring them to talent 5 Maybe upgrading woad riders would reduce our precious upgrading resources (yes, they’re frigging rare…). As for now MR and Genoese are my safe bet for the future.

I haven't unlocked Subutai's weapon yet and Timur is perfectly fine with one Woan unit. Ottoman campaign is pretty annoying with rigid mountainous terrain everywhere. Probably I need to concentrate my efforts somewhere else at the moment. And if the news are true we can purchase resources from a Territory shop from now on.

What do you, guys, think of two-handed swordsmen? I believe that step by step this initially modest unit became quite an interesting addition to some Infantry legions. They have two legion effects and can work in synergy with Varangians, for example...

They need max morale to shine but even with high morale they are not that much beneficial than Varangian. Varangian's charge is too good.

They are available for hiring in many conquests and, I think, in War of the Roses they will be one of the main Infantry units in Castles too. Besides, 5 moral points for successful Detour means they are able to keep they high moral consistently even without war Drums, and Varangians' axes require high moral to be most efficient too. Btw, what is the difference between their orange weapon and the red one? I don't quite understand the difference. An additional note seems to be meaningless to me.
