Can we use them but not upgrade them, or are they off limits completely?

I haven't upgraded Alex to Medieval age, and haven't unlocked neither Barbarossa nor Saladin yet. But I see no harm in using them as long as we don't upgrade them. How many blue coins do you have? I am still sleeping on 20k. I don't mind you spend all your coins if you have more than that. Just to shorten the gap between us a bit. But if you have less or propose that we don't touch them, I won't spend mine either. |

I'd forgotten about that glitch and haven't unlocked legend mode yet. Just to let you know where my current location is... I am still in Discovery age. I have bought all blue generals except Takeda Shingen (I simply don't need any additional cavalry at the moment) I have 40k points in arena (close to awake Suri).    BTW, this time I am planning to improve all military buildings in Paris. Not for the sake of beating off Invasions but to improve stats of generic units for future campaigns and challenges (since improvements in Paris do affect stats in other modes of the game)  The main preliminary goal, as usual, is to conquer 155 cities in Empire and to farm NT4 (Now I farm NT1 without swapping equipment). |

Iron DukeCool That's the deal then... You may spend them as you like buying literature and diamonds. It is difficult to tell precisely but my estimation it will help you to reach Discovery age in no time.

Iron Duke, I have unlocked Gunpowder age today and I have one ambitious and challenging plan... Since you are a tough, formidable and cunning opponent with many tricks in your sleeve I decided to strike while the iron is still hot. My plan is to unlock Industrial age in only one week! And to conquer 155 cities immediately after that. I still have collect more than 900 literature. Yet, I have my chances. Firstly, I have unlocked Ocllo today as well. Secondly, I can farm NT2 Thirdly, I haven't completed Discovery and Gunpowder age campaigns yet with hidden literature in them. And last but not least I still have to play some of the conquests.

First and foremost I have 30 literature pieces of literature per day thanks to Ocllo and Nefertari. 210 pieces in total in one week. Then NT2 provides me with other 12 pieces of literature per day, 84 in 7 days on total. I'm sure you will do it, Gunpowder was always the longest and toughest one. I also meant to say that it is worth farming NT2 & NT3 when you can but you don't need that particular piece off advice |

Yet, I believe GT1 provides us with 30 medals for completing it in comparison with NT1. Am I wrong? |
